New info on theatre mode/game modes/emblems/prestige-ing etc...

Just read some awesome info which is getting me pretty excited..!

    Nothing to convince me that this game won't run like crap. Just possibly worse.

          What are we supposed to do, praise them for nothing? This is why important matters aren't answered. Hey Vahn! Is it possible for me to create some porn? Yeah that's real important. Come 5months from now people will all of a sudden have a " hey! What is wrong this game?" moment.

          There are much more important issues that need to be taken care of before Theater mode and emblem creator become a main concern

            Yes but the only way we will see how it plays is at launch - I am expecting (as u guys should) the 1st day bugs or issues and the week or 2 it will take for everything to be working as it should but as we've seen since BOPS1 - they now have processes in place to adjust the game to work better, I agree that there are issues like lag comp, lag from theatre etc that need to be answered but aren't you guys excited for the innovation that treyarch are trying to add?

              You're one of the people who somehow believes the support and patches post release turned Black Ops from a potentially great game ruined by connectivity issues into a potentially great game that was only mildly hindered by connectivity issues.

               

              ...BUT...

               

              The connectivity issues never went away, decreased or changed much at all - just some pogo-ing around between ocassional joy and mass frustration.

               

              Black Ops today, plays for many like crap, most of the time, for all it is crap some of the time, for some it is crap all of the time.

               

              Others also say that old  CODies are warped by the passage of time and that all CODs were like Black Ops, in terms of lag and connectivity. Simply not true. Check out my COD NOW AND THEN thread in off-topic.

               

              Anyway, I'm not bitter or worried anymore, just keen. I want BOII to work - that would be a riotous success for all. If it doesn't, then it's natural selection in computer gaming sense and another series is on the way down.

          all that we are saying is that we are not going praise a game because they gave us a couple of toys. In BO some of these "toys" bogged down the game. That is like giving you a new rims for a POS rust bucket of a car.

           

          If we didnt think that BO2 had the potential to be an awsome game we wouldnt be here. All we are saying is that this news could be bad. or it could be good. We are not sure yet.

           

          Some of us dont get blinded by the little "new and shiny" objects. we are focused on the big picture

    This info is all well and good but i am yet still not convinced that it wont be just as bad if not worse than mw3 and black ops. i think it is having its intended affect in getting people worked up like the op put "Just read some awesome info which is getting me pretty excited this game is gonna rock!".

     

    Until i have the disk in my ps3 i will asume its gonna be just as bad if not worse as it seems iw and 3arc are in a battle to make the worst multiplayer experience.

        Yeah I have faith in Treyarch. IW is a joke now after MW3.

        my hope died with mw3, they screwed us over good and proper.

         

        Blackops gave xbox content 30 days before other consoles

        mw3 bumped it up to 60 days.

        mw3 screwed me on hosting, i have 60mb fiber optic so it automatically chooses me for host so im screwed.

        backops is hard on your blueray drive.

        blackops gave poor performance on ps3 plus alot of lag.

         

        So yeah, i have no confidence in them at all. I am just getting it for zombies plus the campaign.

    must say i'm getting pretty annoyed now at the fact we are inundated with the cosmetic side of this game, yes its a great approach adding and evolving the game, seems to me though the current gen is already at breaking point in terms of what the machines can handle on screen as it is.

     

    please for the love of god put as much effort into telling us whats different about the matchmaking and serious lag issues that now ruin the experience, go ahead treyarch spam me with info in this respect ill read every single word, its the most important issues in the game, talk to me all day about this.

      I would have to agree, in the 4 hours i actually bothered to play blops 1 the emblem creator was not one of the things i actually bothered with.

       

      We need to know what impact the new theatre mode has on lag

       

      Will the new league system be away from the general listing i.e will it affect people who use the normal match making system

       

      will there be a regional search and if so will it actually work

        This is my main concern. They are pulling the same crap again by throwing the smoke screen up.

        I agree, as someone from oz, if I'm in a league against players from the US or EU I know I'll be red bar-ing so hoping the address that issue and make leagues regional..

    Sound good, can't wait to create an emblem, 32 layers and even unique ones to unlock with challenges. Finally we can group our layers instead of moving each individual object. I want to to be able to save emblems to a storage system, so if I want to create another one I know that the previous one is still there and can just go back to it instead of trying to figuer out how to re-create it, they should implement this in real quick.
