****MYTH ABOUT IMPACT PROFICIENCY****

So i assume everyone here knows about the impact proficiency....
well when i was playing cod today i got an insane thing happen i was able to almost one or 2 shot people with my cm901 (whatever the hell the spelling is)
and it was weird because i was playing on dome (so that takes out the whole buliding cover thing that most might respond) but however upon going back to dome and taking off impact it took almost half a clip to drop someone.... and as we all know FMJ from MW2 is bulit into the game along with the commando lunge...that being said, could it be possible that impact adds to the bulit in FMJ thus resulting in a glitch for more damage on the gun (even though it doesn't show it) because i went 23-3 with impact and 19-7 without it so....idk let me know what y'all think
You are wrong.
explain how so? because the fmj is bulit in which is why without it u can hit through small/weak walls and also u do lunge in the game but if u mean the proficency then plus add details i'm trying to figure out if it is better than focus due to extra damage
Alright, impact does not add damage.
it does through materials and i'm wondering if a person counts as "material" because i get triple/mutli-kills INSANELY easier with impact
No it doesn't add damage. All it does is keep a higher percentage of the original damage when shooting through things.
if it keeps a higher percentile wouldn't that be adding??? ![]()
(not meant to sound like an ass just trying to figure things out)
plus it clearly says
"increased damage through materials"
so i'm assuming it's like FMJ or deep impact from pervious games
Keywords: "higher percentage of the original damage"
Ex: If original damage is 100. Shooting through a wall does 0.50. With impact it does 0.75.
Higher percentage of the original damage.
correct but that being the case would it also apply to people? what i mean is when they are lined up how a sniper gets a colladeral well i have done that ONLY when having impact on so i'm led to believe impact counts "line-ups" as i commonly call them as materials or surfaces or whatever the hell it says on MW3 as well
No.
hmm well then can u explain how i get them easier with impact?
cuz i'm confused now
You don't. It's a figment of your imagination.
hmm could be
however i think i may test this out more.... i have a feeling impact is a glitched perk just like focus and a sliencer gives you kick and focus at the same time
Nah FMJ was awesome, impact isn't good. FMJ made larger sparks impact is barely noticable.
true but FMJ is bulit into the game now so basically u do have it along with commando however i think they shouldn't have done that
Impact only helps the bullet keep higher damage potential when shooting through something. And yes players count, but it does not add to the damage in any way. A player counts as shooting through something and lowers the damage of the bullet leaving; but with impact that is negated to where the round keeps the same damage leaving the player. So yes when having impact on you can kill multiple players easier beacause the damage does not drop for rounds that passed through the first player. But no it does not add in extra damage to the first player it hits.
i thought so...cuz i get mutli out the ass with impact... however why doesn't it add to damage is where i'm confused if it counts just about everything as material and sorry for asking possibily newb questions but here's my logic...
-Deep impact added to damage
-FMJ DEFINTELY add to damage
why not impact?
Actually none of what you have mention, added to damage......
it did in stats least what i remembered when i played it is that the damage bar would move slightly
No it doesn't. I just checked.
It was not designed too. It only allows the round to keep the inital damage when passing through. It gives a placebo affect where you think it does more when really it is not. Basically they way it works as if you shoot something and that thing would take of .25 damage from teh round. Meaning a round doing .90 damage would suddenly only do .65 with out impact. With impact that same round passes through the object and does around .75-.80 or close to it. So more damage passed through so less rounds required to kill. The same with people but people probably reduce the damage by less then say a wall. So up close a .90 round would possibly still do about .80-.85 damage meaning you kill a little faster. And when several players are near by those rounds that pass throuh do more damage to the second player meaning less rounds to kill them is needed.
It is not adding damage, just keeping more of the initial damage with each object it passes through.
hmm i think i for one have fallen under that placebo effect thing
because i solely believe that impact helps ALOT in clutch situations as does focus because of the increased (or seemly increased) damage on the gun..... i still want to go in depth on it and try more games with it and see if i should make the switch from focus to impact
focus allows you to stay more on target flinching less when shot. this makes your aim steadier under fire and taking damage. Impact works great for lmgs or large magazine ar and smgs when trying to hit targets through the walls and windows when defending/patroling/camping a place or trying to assault a camper up in a room.
Impact is good for team defender for the attacker especially if they hide in a room. Where as focus is better for the defender when hiding in the room and shooting out a window or around a corner.
focus and impact are the counter for each other.
true however i feel impact takes the better role because i rush with an G36 (just bcuz i can lol)
and can easily get a mutli on search with impact on (and the fact u reload fast as hell on that gun) so i wanna say in terms of rushing to move from focus and more into dpb (damage per bullet) rather than staying on target or is that a bad idea?
as long as your aim is steady going with impact would not be a bad idea. If not for the fact I like to use more then one attachment impact is the only other one I really use unless the gun has lots of kick then I use kick. low recoil weapons impact is better for rushing focus is better for defending.
hmm if only there was a profincy that combines both impact and focus
.... lol
Do enemies, and Chainlink fences count towards the Impact Proficiency Challenge?
yes we just said that

Show me where you said that Chainlink fences count?
