I really hope there's a counter to dogs this time.

In Black Ops 1, objective modes are overrun by camping killwhores using the Famas who always go for Blackbird/Chopper Gunner/Dogs, and even if you shoot down all the choppers there's still no way to avoid the wallhack Blackbird or the Commando-lunge 1-bite Dogs. They use this setup to pad their precious K/D, and I just don't want to see this happen in Black Ops 2. Black Ops is far more balanced than MW3 but it still has plenty of issues, and I just don't want to see the same mistakes made in the next CoD.

    Yeah, but they wont get more points for just kill whoring on Objective modes, they will have to get alot more kills to get the killstreaks. say dogs is 11 kills on tdm on domination say, you will have to get 22kills not including capturing the flag. so it wont be as easy if you just kill and dont capture

      Killstreaks never go up based on game modes. In other words the comment you made about dogs requiring 11 kills in TDM vs 22 in DOM is completely and utterly false. They are, however, easier to accomplish in objective-based games IF you are playing the objective. For example killing an enemy while holding a flag will award you with 2 toward your score streak instead of just 1 had you not been holding the flag. Let's not get things twisted.

        maiby in MW3. in BO2 reveals so far. you get ruffly half the score needed for a KS/scorestreak in a objective mode. its ruffly getting half a kill for killing someone if it happens in objective modes. its designed so you are better off playing the objective to get streaks. camping in the back wont help.

      When you've got like 20 dogs coming at you and your teammates, all of which take like half a clip to kill and will almost always bite you before you can knife them, and there's a Chopper Gunner that won't let you out of your spawn, and the enemy team has a Blackbird so they all know exactly where you are and what position you're in, you're pretty much screwed and the game is in limbo until all the killstreaks go away. Don't give me all this crap about how easy it is to just knife all the dogs that lunge at you from 15 feet away. Also:

        Ok, did you read what you wrote Obumbles? You mentioned killstreaks that are ALL the highest levels. If your team lets a team get that many kills then you should loose, end of story. By the way, Obama does do stuff and that stuff is play golf. That's about it.

          I don't want to get into a political debate on CoD forums, also using a Silenced Famas plus Ghost, SoH and Ninja and a nice small area to "tactically defend" makes it very easy for the tryhards to get their killstreaks, even if most of the other team isn't doing bad. All it takes is one idiot who keeps running back to the camper. That's why killstreaks should be more team-oriented, and not just be about the individual.

            Why not the individual? I've been in MANY games, in many different CoD's where one player steps up to the plate and dominates the other team. They deserve those kill streaks for achieving what his/her teammates could not. Team oriented kill streaks, well, go play drop zone then. I just don't see the logic you are trying to convey. If I am missing the point, then please enlighten me.

        So... seems you have an issue with the other team getting a lot of high KS.

          No he was saying in his OP that he is fed up with people on objective games getting dogs and that and not trying to get the objectives, wich bo2 is teying balance out

        What version of Black Ops are you playing where there are 20 dogs at the same time?

         

        The killstreak activates with four dogs.  There are four more in reserve (which will take the place of the ones that you kill).  Still, the max number of dogs in the game from one player at a time is four.  If two or more guys on the other team get the (11-kill) killstreak at the same time, you kind of deserved it.

         

        Just stay in a building, listen for the dogs' approach, watch the doorways, and move around a little.  Shoot/knife whatever enters.  If you're unreasonably frustrated by this, then just leave.  It rarely happens anyway.

        I literally don't think I've ever seen the other team have blackbird, chopper gunner, and dogs all at the same time, so your team either sucks more than any other in COD history, or you're upset about the ONE time it happened to you. You need to settle down and get over it. Yes I agree people that play objective games and only go for kills is not fun either. But you do get to use the gun you're holding in your hands to shoot the dogs ya know. Or knife, or explosives. So they do have a counter, what were you hoping for? Defense pandas that you could call in?

           And on a side note, if you don't want to have a political conversation on COD forums, why invite the controversy by making your COD FORUM NAME ObamaDoesStuff? Doesn't make any sense why you'd do that and not expect some political backlash. I do agree with you though, he does stuff......but most of it hasn't done any good.

        And since when do all 20 dogs go after one person? I've also never seen that, maybe  2 or 3 max. Oh yeah, I just thought of another counter to dogs, they're called ladders (in maps that have them of course), climb up a ladder and the dogs will NEVER get you. They're too dumb to climb ladders. "They don't have opposable thumbs Focker."

        why i dashbord when the noobs get dogs and blackbrid i cant say much i use the same killstreaks but i dont camp them R&G for life..

    I usually run these streaks to help my team win the matches we play.  Since they are in the game and we earned the kills I really don't see the problem. 

     

     

    I would suggest you:

     

    1) get better at the game

    2) If it is because you are playing with randoms I would suggest you find friends or a clan to play with

     

    Teams will be a group of randoms everytime.

     

     

    If you are complaining because you play against organized teams who can coordinate kill streaks such that Player 1 will throw up a blackbird and Player 2 will then call in a chopper gunner while the blackbird is up negating your ghost perk at the same time Player 3 calls in dogs then I can understand the trouble you are having. 

     

    The chopper gunner/blackbird/dogs combo is near impossible to deal with.  However - You have to deal with it because you and/or your fellow teammates went really negative allowed the opponents to get those streaks. 

     

    If you are complaining because randoms will not switch to a ghost class.  FInd a team to play with it will automatically make you a better player. 

     

    If you are complaining because you can't use your gun to shoot the dogs then see point 1 above. 

     

    Also they don't let you call in 2 dogs at a time the same way you can't call in 2 choppers at a time.  You can call them in back to back but not at the same time.

    Watch the scores, watch the kill feed take a minute out of your game to huntdown and kill the shooter thats starting to get a role on.And as others have said if your with Randoms vrs Party and the randoms dont play as a team then get your own team..My thoughts is all

    You know, there are a lot of people who have marijuana references in their usernames but nobody ever says they're "inviting marijuana discussion". Yes, my username is sort of a dumb joke but honestly I will be voting for him in November, no friggin way am I voting for big business Romney or anti-abortion Ron Paul.

    But anyways, this whole BB/CG/Dogs combo happens a LOT, particularly in Domination. I'm not kidding when I say that I see people who use this setup consistently get 50-80 kills a match REGARDLESS of whether they win or lose because once you have all that crap going it just completely subdues the other team.

    It's true that I'm usually playing with randoms, but unfortunatley all my friends either play Modern Stealth Bomber 3 or Boringlands 2....

      Yeah there is alot and there was in black ops, Firing range was a nightmare for this very reason at the start of blackops and as always the only way to play release after release is to kill more die less but  you have 3 choices here  A.When these people are in your lobby hunt them down from the start and it doesnt take long before they back out because they cant get there role on and they go looking for a easier game  B.Make sure you get your killstreaks first C. Get knew friends that actually play a game that your playing

    well if other team gets the high killstreak, espicialy in the new system, you suck.

     

    only argument i saw is you cant hide from dogs. other than that i didnt see a problem. id shoot down the choppergunner. and dogs down right need a nerf, or make a trade for not easily killed for being about as good at killing as a 6-7 killstreak.

    This post makes me a little frusterated because in Black Ops 2, all three scorestreaks you mentioned can be countered:

    Blackbird/Orbital VSAT - Counter UAV, EMP Systems

    Chopper Gunner/VTOL Warship - FJH-18AA Anti-Aircraft Launcher, Go inside.

    Dogs - Find a ladder

    With the scorestreak system in objective game modes, objective players get rewarded more & they get to their streaks faster than the slayers.

     

    So you can't now complain that objective players are not deserving of their dogs considering they achieved it by playing the objective.

    Pretty sure I read somewhere that Dogs won't attack you if you're not moving or firing your gun.

    This is why I love playing the way I play! Because of people like you!

     

    Whuahahahahaha.. sometimes posts and thoughts like this are making me wonder why people are not buying a Wii to just play Mario Kart and Mario Party!

     

    I remember playing WaW in my first days, I went to flag B for 2 minutes in a row and I died every time the last second! So I've been there, I've been that n00b!

     

    What made me understand the game more was looking at Youtube footage of those who can play the game!

     

    What stroked me the most was to see game play through their pov!

     

    - they didn't die that much!

    - they took care of killing everyone, so their team mates had an easier job to capture / defend the flags!

    - they took care of kill streaks, so their team mates had an easier job to capture / defend the flags!

     

    So by watching them over and over again, the knowledge grew and my skills grew also!

     

    In a matter of time I didn't feel too frustrated when the enemy called in bombardment and dogs cos I knew it would be my time in a minute anyway!

     

    * SO WHAT AM I'M TRYING TO SAY: Some games require skills, (tactical) thinking and knowledge! Most people who come crying here lack all 3 of them and think that since they are keep running to flag B they should be rewarded with a capture!

     

    It's hopeless for these people! Now with the score streaks they get false hope, I mean sure dogs and choppers are not going to be the main factor they'll die but the same tryhards that were getting MOABS are going to be the same in Black Ops 2!

     

    THEY KEEP ON KILLING YOU WITH OR WITHOUT STREAKS!!!

    u should just realize u r not good because ur talking about people camping and getting high killstreaks and its ur team member dying and not u... well then u stop caming and go kill him. its not hard to find a camper and kill them
