How many people from the Wii division is switching to the Wii-U?

Posted by VampWolfy on Sep 13, 2012 1:21 PM

I am definitely doing this ASAP. I really hope they still use motion controls for Blops II!

    Hey guys,

Long time forum lurker here. Been playing COD on wii since WaW. I'll be moving over to blops 2 on launch. Just hoping that wii remote and nunchuck are on it and has just as good of settings as they do on mw3.

Be good to play a game without hacks. Just hope that the wiiu gets more support then the wii did.

Well, then all your prayers have been answered! (DLC is very likely, but we don't know for sure.)

    I'm not.

As I said back in the MW3 forums (the thread got Foxhound'd), Wii U introduces NOTHING new to the gaming industry. HD graphics? PS360 already offer hd graphics since like 6 years. Gamepad with screen? Dont find it useful, plus most of games need you to focus on the screen and sometimes even blinking in the wrong moment will make you fail, imagine looking at the gamepad to pick your killstreak while you are in the middle of nuketown 2025...

And the online system looks like cr*p. So no, not for me...

Agreed but with one exception..motion controls...no other console has them.  Is that worth 300 bucks?  That's an individual decision..  To each his own.

My big issue is the console banning/game banning/reset policies.  That was the biggest fail of the Wii IMHO.

We haven't even seen what the online system looks like though.  Yes we know about Miiverse but I think that is only one aspect of the Nintendo Network.

Other than that I am switching over to the Wii U because I am drawn in by more games than just Black Ops 2.  There will be plenty of games on there for me to play that will justify the purchase.

better split screen quality. what till you see the 4 man splitscreeners pub stomping people. all the noob ones will just have 2.  the controls and feel also help. im fine playing 3arc games on nentendo and MW games on xbox. keeps the semi cod feel out from switching from BO to MW2 on xbox.

ps. the gamepad is its own screen. you probly wont need it to call in a KS but it probly well offer better options. possibly even going back and forth from using a KS to the actual game instead of having nothing you can possibly do to defend yourself without killing yourself.

PS3s aren;t outdated. Hell I bet the hardware in the Ps3 is more updated than this ipad3.

PS3 is outdated. Most consoles are outdated by a few years at launch...

Actually, the Xbox 360 was technologically ahead of the PC for a few months when it first launched back in 2005.

You really think the PS3 is not out dated? Dude get your head out of Sony's butt :/ The PS3 and the 360 are relics now. Any thing they can do a PC can do 10,000 times better. The Wii U will be outdated before it even releases and the PS4 and the 720 will be out dated also. but if you're gonna go by current gen standards and exclude the PC then yes the PS3 is not out out dated.. at least until Nov 18th.

I'm ready to switch, been ready for past two years. I'm not going to leave my Wii collect dust though, I will store it in to a plastic box like all my previous consoles, then every once in a while I might plug it and play some older games like I do with my other consoles.

BO2U might be very interesting experience, I just hope we won't get disappointed again.

I already pre-ordered it.  So yeah, I'm ready to switch.  I'll probably still buy a PS4 or Xbox720.  Especially if Wii U misses out on enough great third party games.  I'm definitely sticking with Wii U for FPS games though.  I loves me some motion controls.

Im ready for this. I just hope the Wii Commuinty doesn't turn to a camp infested try-hard center playing in black ops and other games is usally fun with the amount of people moving but knowing how the wii commuinty is. It will become horrible and people will take this game to seriously instead of having fun.

I'm the same when it comes to dual analog vs wii mote. I can't for the life of me get a precise shot on ps3. Whenever I run into hacks/dropshotters/noob tubers I go play bf3 and get owned. So glad motion controls are on blops 2. Will be interesting having the three different controllers against each other. No one will have a controller disadvantage and it will be all down to skill.

    Hey there.

I am definitely spending my kids inheritance on this console...cannot wait!

Looking forward to seeing you all on the killing fields, hopefully without the cheats that ruined the previous title.

Shame they are holding us up to the wall with the price tag here in the UK.

32 GB version in US $349, in the UK it will be the equivalent of $486!.l.OUCH!!! Robbing Bar Stewards...

Shame it is probably region locked...

I will not be getting WiiU. It only serves to fragment the gaming community even more.

People moving form xbox and ps3 to WiiU will only mean that there will be less p2p hosts is each ecosystem, meaning less good ping matchmaking. Especially in the smaller countries like Australia where we already struggle to find a decent host.

I'm still not sure, I also want to play other games than CoD so I'm a bit skeptical about 3rd party support and the online network. I want to sit back and see if the Wii U will be successful, but I don't know if I can hold out that long. Wii is pretty much dead and my Xbox could break down any moment now
