Quit shooting me in the back!!!

I would say 2/3 of my deaths are in my back, yet maybe 10% of my kills are in your back. I come to a T, look left, you're on the right and shoot me in the back. I'm booking down a long hallway, you come around the corner and shoot me in the back. I'm booking down a long hallway, turn around to ensure nobody is aiming at that yellow streak down my back, you pop out (what used to be) ahead of me and shoot me in the back.
Clearly I'm missing some strategic tip here. How do you peeps keep cowards like me from shooting you in the back? Why is my back such an inviting target?
People always complain about campers, but with the spawning in this game you are better off camping than running more than half of the time. The spawning is too horrible.
True. One thing I would like to mention is USE CLAYMORES. I haven't used nades in a long time time because of this. You will be amazed at how many times it saves your butt from a person spawning right behind you. I know stalker players will be unaffected but you can at least hear it go off if your close enough. Give it a try.
I always give a quick turn around look behind every few steps.... not only do I catch some people preparing to shoot me off guard... it also is just a good way to catch others running forward.. then give them a little tap on the back :-)
This is a good reason to make sure that someone literally has got your back when you are moving around the map. lol
Ya, I should have mentioned I'm a run and gunner. I've tried camping, after about 10 seconds I'm bored and start moving again.
I'm the same.... so I will say its just the hand we are dealt sometimes....when we run and gun, we get shot in the back more often because we don't have our back glued to a wall.
I always have those "convenient" deaths. I'll run left and there's a guy to the right. I run around a corner at the precise time a grenade lands, I'll sit waiting for a guy to poke his head out but the seconded I let may guard down he pops up and shoots me. It's amazing the kind of luck I have
glad to know i'm not the only one!!
I put it down to the "Big BullsEye" I have on my back with the sub tiitle, "shoot here" ----> ![]()
That giant neon sign that follows me around really pisses me off sometimes
I have that problem with predator missiles. They always find me. Sometimes I think my little red square just shines too brightly. I had a match just last night where I got predatored 5 times even when I was no where near my other teamates. I thought to myself how in the world could I be this unlucky. So I looked at the kill cam and it turned out that I was the only guy on my team not running blind eye. Facepalm moment.

How many times "G" have I told you to leave my giant neon sign alone! ![]()
It will only get you killed ![]()
HA I am the same ![]()
No one can control where players shoot eachother, this post is completely retarded. I hate getting shot in the back too, but there is nothing we can do about it.
You, Regicidall, are a putz. I'm asking for advice, you're saying the question is retarded. Bugger off.
that always happens to me, so i just run and every now and then look back and i normally catch people off guard other than them catching me off guard. that works for me.
I too suffer from "shootmeinthebackitis". It's terrible in this game and EXTREMELY contagious. The spawns the devs have in place right now are the main cause of this.
Also, I am constantly a victim of look left, go right, but get shot in the back from the left... Leaving me with many WTF moments.
You have to know the spawns and stay out side of the map, even if your a run and gun player. if you are int he middle of the map, your more likely to get shot in the back.
also if i feel like ive been in one direction to long, ill turn around and look around just incase, its kind of like a sensory feeling ![]()
I always love those moments when I think I am running toward the enemy spawn, only to find my team has already stormed into it and taken over, for the spawn to switch and have to run back to the other side of the map.
I've had games where I've literally ran back and forward from spawn to spawn because my team mates kept finding, killing, then switching the spawns...
Maybe IW should think about implementing a "Tap you on the shoulder" button.
Exactly as others have mentioned. If you get in the "flow" of the game, you will know where the enemies are spawning and you will be the one shooting them in the back.
that how i die all the time or get killed while reload my gun
It happens to all of us. I like to just embrace my inner Joker and foster chaos. If you do things that are predictable (like running down a long hallway), enemies only have to shoot you at the beginning or end of it - not hard to cover. But if you are constantly switching your play style and your targets, it should happen a lot less.
I play a lot of DZ and I enjoy giving the enemy team the sense that we're coming at them from all sides. I'll run to one side of the map and throw a stun grenade or two, then run to another position and fire off a Javelin and then run to another position and toss some C4 from above their position... meanwhile, my teammates are often doing the same thing and the enemies have their hands full just trying to make sense of it all.
The biggest trap I see people falling into is thinking they can go cowboy and take out the whole enemy team without any actual strategy, just by running in with their Striker Extended Mags and hoping for the best. Sometimes, a little forethought makes a huge difference in the results. I constantly flank entire teams and then run in from behind and take out 4 or 5 guys before they even realize what's going on. That's how you get shot in the back. ![]()
Haa I love this thread. I think the same dam thing sometimes. I get so pissed and some games feel like I am only dying from behind. Haa..
For me it's mostly crappy spawns. Campers add a bit to this but not nearly as much as the crappy spawns. I can't recall how many times I've shot someone in their face, run 5 feet only to get shot in the back by the same person I just killed because they happened to spawn 10 feet behind me. Clearly this will never ever ever get fixed so it's just something to deal with.
Noone forces you to play Mw3, but if you really get butthurt from that start using assassin, camp or watch your back always!
I mostly play S&D, and I have to agree with one of Ghamorra's points!
The amount of times I rush the "choke points", get that sixth sense feeling, stop, wait, wait some more, wait a bit longer, think "nah, no one's there, but i'll chuck a flash just to make sure", and as soon as I pull the pin on the flash someone pops around the corner and kills me, it's just unreal. The timing is absolutely impeccable! It's like they know!
I think they should implement some kind of commando roll... for me it feels like it takes 1000 years to turn and check the other direction by the time I turn the other way I am shot in the back
If I could roll, it would be so much easier ![]()
Like in 'BRINK,' they introduced PARKOR {free running} - you know, slip and slide on roof tops. You can slide between the enemies on your back 'head on" then turn and face them laying on your back, and shot then in the back mwhahahaha ![]()
spawns are crap
Here's how you stop this from happening: Get a headset. Get SitRep Pro. Profit. Have fun!
Blame your teamates for running around like madmen and causing the enemy to spawn behind you..lol
I usually play in a group and we 'try' to keep the enemy on one side of map or the other so we dont get shot in the back...doesnt always work tho....
I'm also a major target for predator missles. But that's easy to explain. Typically only 2-3 people are visible to the silly things, including me, cuz I'd rather use other perks.
That, and people who get them are usually stupid and forget the objective they're playing. I play DZ a lot and people will constantly target me while I'm on the opposite side of the map from the objective, trying to flank, while 3-4 of my teammates are all clustered together right next to the objective, easy targets for a multi-kill.
