I'm having the same problem

When i started the game i already thought there was something wrong cuz i had to watch the whole intro even if i pressed [start]. After i went to multiplayer i selected PlaystationNetwork. Then it gave me an error that the servers were unavailable. After trying for an hour straight i was able to play 2 matches of team deathmatch, after that it said i was logged out of PSN and i had to log back in ( but i was already logged in). After that it kept giving the server unavailable error. :\

ik heb dat ook ineens normaal heb ik dat nooit en nu staat er dat de server niet beschikbaar is deze tijd en dan ik naar deze site moet gaan voor status maar bij alle consoles/platforms staat er deficon 5 ofzo

I've been having the same problems this morning and last night. It keeps locking up my PS3.

It is tell me that the server is down, but i been trying all day to get on black ops but it wont let me get online as well.

I'm having a problem too....can't connect to zombies online or multiplayer .....theres an error appearntly ...cn anyone tell me whats wrong

we live in the Uk, not had Black ops since last night, just server is not available, getting withdrawal symtons as we speak and its the only game i have

i phoned them up and they say it should be resolved soon as the servers r not down byt the sorce server is off as a result of the meger storm battering the east coaast and i live in the uk

It's happened to other servers as well, like MW2 and WAW. It's because of the Hurricane Sandy disrupting the connection at the places where the connection is sent.

Same over here, I thought maybe it was just Black Ops so I tried MW3 AND MW2, its Call of Duty in general.... Still nothing about what the hey is going on....

They are trying to get it up but that it could take a minimum of 24 hours. It could be up again today or tomorrow or next week. They haven't given a positive time table because they need to wait on NYC (the location of the source server) to have their electricity repaired before they would actually be able to do work on the server to get it back up. Hope that helped you understand a little better.
