Rage quitting

I love the feeling I get when people rage quit in a match with me. Especially when they are talking smack. The funniest part is I am a pretty average player so it gives me total satisfaction. How does it make you feel?

yeah it gives some sort of satisfaction for me, usually ends up in a host migration though wich makes me lose my good game 40% off the time

I love watching others rage quit. Although if they are the host it can be bothersome. Then it does nothing but lead to host migrations and eventually a server time out.

Several days ago I got a MOAB on party of 6, right before it went off half the team quit. I had a really good game and was rewared with three kills out of my MOAB

97% of all rage quits are because the game is ******* them over not because you good at hiding in a corner. When you put 20 shells into a guys chest & die to watch the kill cam & you didn't fire a damn bullet at them.

    I disagree with your comment!

Most people rage quit when they are getting there a$$ handed to them! i see it happen all the time! alot of the time its people that are on my team that rage quit! all you pretty much have to do is change your style of gameplay and adapt to the way the game is being played by your opponents!

I actually hate it when people rage quit! its annoying as hell! just man up/woman up and finish the game and leave once the match is over!

some are 'getting their ass handed to them" as you say, because they are a second or 2 behind in time, so why would someone wanna continue on with that knowing they stand no chance of even getting their gun up before they are insta killed, but there are those who simply rage quit because they suck...lol

      Hey pun1sh,

You have no clue what being host is like do you.  Because if you've ever been host in this game I guarantee you would quit.  I don't call it rage quitting when your the host, I call it a protest quit.  I can be winning a game and I'll still quit when the lag and frame rate becomes unbearable half way through the match.

I don't get pissed when a host quits I'm just hoping I don't get picked to be the next sacraficial host.

And obviously you've never quit a match so you can't say 100% that you've ever been host.

Sometimes I even hit the ps button and sign off psn so no host migration takes place and everyone gets booted.

        Re: Rage quitting

"Protest quitting".  Thats brilliant mate. I like it.

I used to get annoyed in games when a host would quit (Fifa, Bl Ops, MW2 etc) but having played MW3 for 9-10months and being selected as host at least every other game, I totally accept it.

I normally bail out within 4-5 gunfights if I'm going to do so.

I had a classic moment last Thurs in a party with 2 of my UK friends who live less than 5miles away.  I have 1-2 bars fluctuating, they're on 2-3bars fluctuating and everyone else on steady 3bars.  I decided I'd had enough and left the game only for the "Host Migration" to ppop up and my mates to point out that nobody else had left the game.  I was host all along.  The other 9 players were from Spain and France.  Why was I a 1-bar host?  And why were my friends 2-3bars whilst the folk 1000's of miles away on 3-bar?

The things which happen when you're host on this game would drive anyone to rage quit sooner or later.  Maybe not the first or second game, but surely by game 3,4 or 5 anyone would've had enough!?

        Cheers,

        Stu

    Re: Rage quitting

I don't know about rage quitting. If I feel a game is off I simply leave. You play one match and dominate. The next match exact same people and you can't get a kill at all. Or mid way thru a match everything seems to swap. You are killing and then you can't. Call it lag compensation, Internet issues etc. I understand that the game will never be perfect due to these issues but if it seems too fishy I just back out. No rage. Just like getting dropped into a match where you are already down 2k and a reaper in the air and predators raining down on you. I just choose not to play on a one sided match when I believe the playing field isn't even. Same with 2 different low level split screen players on my team. Just not gonna do it. Only a minute or 2 and you are back in another game.

Exactly what I do. I hardly play the game any more because of all the bs issues, and if I'm getting ridiculous s*** happening I leave. There's no point getting annoyed by such a broken game.

    Re: Rage quitting

Is it considered a rage quit if they are quitting because they lost the game even though they as*plowed our team? ie we play the objective and get the game win, but almost the whole team has gone negative kdr while the other team is calling in moabs and emps and have double digit kdrs. That happens so much I have thought that maybe if they quit like that their kills shouldn't count against our kdrs.

It is a pretty good feeling knowing that **** talker that was in the lobby just got owned by your team enough to make him quit. That or the lag was just so terrible for him that he finally gave up on trying to beat us.

    Re: Rage quitting

I rage quit too often with MW3.  It makes me ashamed of myself.  If the teams are balanced and I'm just having a bad game, I'll stay; but it is usually because of poor matchmaking (unbalanced teams) or obvious connection issues that I back out of a lobby after the start of the game.

I actually quit most games before the end. But that's because I'm host almost every game I play.

The only time I'm not host is when I join a game that's in progress, but then very shortly after joining, the 'host migration' message will appear and make me host again.

      I love rage quitting.

    Re: Rage quitting

I will leave a game when I know I cannot win because of the game, or because of the piss poor team I am on.

    - If I feel I am way too far behind (like the other day I got hit, then saw the mussel flash, then insta-died.  Or when I check a corner and nothing is there and then get shot by someone who was there...

    - if the team I'm playing with won't leave the spawn and just sit there and let me get killed over and over

    - If I am playing an objective game (like DOM or even KC) and the team I am playing with will not do anything (similar to previous point)

If we are playing for the win and the other team is just that good that we are getting beat legitimately: I will stay and take the loss, congratulate them and then leave (or hope that the lobby is all randoms and it mixes the teams up)

    So again:

I do not quit because I am losing

    I quit when I can't win

    Re: Rage quitting

I agree with some of the others - I'll quit if the matchmaking is way out of balance (6 players P10+ vs. 5 players P4 or lower? WTF, devs!) or in cases where teams are just spawn trapping instead of actually playing. I tend to play Drop Zone, Sabotage or Infected pretty exclusively, so when there's an actual objective and people ignore it just to boost their stats, I don't have any interest in sticking around to help them with it. Don't really have to deal with lag too much, but in a few cases, that's caused me to quit too.

However, when it's about skill (as in, I'm running around a map handing a team's ass to them because they're just not playing smart) or when it's about not wanting to deal with digging out a sniper, or something like that, I think rage quitting makes you look stupid. There's no better way to improve your game than to stick around, try new strategies and learn something new.

    Re: Rage quitting

I don't rage quit when my team's getting beat up, I leave when I'm just not having fun in the lobby. People running around with Sho(i)tguns, Cheapscoping, People using cheap-ass Ballistic vests... Or when I die close to a MOAB and the game is about to end (if it's before halftime I'll try once more to see if I can get it that time). Idc if we're winning at that point, I'm just completely pissed off xD
