Please explain the LAG COMPENSATION.

Can someone please explain the LAG COMPENSATION ? In the last 4 months or so i believe it has been getting worse. I have a great and fast internet connection but find that i start shooting first and get several hits before they shoot yet i die with whats always seem to be they only hit me a couple times. i used to be averaging 20 plus kills, now im very lucky to even get high teens in kills. Also seems like they see me before i see them anymore. What the heck is going on and how do i fix this. Im starting to lose interest in call of duty games and its not even fun anymore to play. Is this something that Infinity Ward or Activision needs to address? I think so, and fast.

basically think of the game netcode as one of the kids toys with square, round , triangle rectangle holes..

how lag comp works in mw3 is you get given an octagonal, hexagonal, semi circular and star shaped bricks and a hammer and told you have 5 secs to fit them thru the holes.

  I'd rather call it "Prediction code," not lag compensation. Prediction code basically sorts out what the server sees and what you're actually doing. It will try to predict where your bullet should be in reality vs where the server sees it. Without prediction code, there are no online games.
  
  The best prediction code/netcode I've ever seen is iRacing.com. They have nailed it. The more IW screw with the netcode, the worse it gets. Time to scrap the old engine and start from scratch, top to bottom.

I say fu*k Graphics, just give me a smooth Cod game like Cod4MW1 was!!!

Change all but the mw1 engine and it will all be good.

Ohh Infinity Ward have the worst lag in their games in my opinion. Makes the gaming experience shabby :/

The only way i know to put it is, Lag compensation should help put everyone on a level playing feild as far as internet connection goes, but IW got it wrong, The best fix would be to downgrade your internet speed to the bare min needed to connect to the game ..... I upgraded mine and lag is now worse than ever
