MW3 "Files Different From Server" Help!

So this has only happened recently I play on the pc and i cant find a match nor join one i get an error saying Files different from server Please help i have been trying for ages

    Why do I get an error telling me that a file is different from the server?

    The patch version you are running may be incorrect. Try having Steam validate the files to check for a new version.

     

    • You can verify the integrity of the game files in the Steam client. In the Steam client right-click on the game and select properties. Click on the local files tab and click the "Verify integrity of game cache" button. You will need to do this for the single player and multiplayer game executables.
