No Wager Matches in Black Ops 2? Please Keep them Treyarch!!!

I understand CodPoints are not going to be in Black Ops 2, but does that have to mean no wager matches? I hear that wager matches have been left behind. Even if they are not for money, it is insanely fun to play those games with friends! (sticks and stones, one in the chamber, gun game, sharpshooter...). They are a nice break from normal MP when that gets frustrating. It's nice to have some pure fun game modes that won't affect your standings but at the same time can be really competitive. I hope they put it in! There is still time!

      Does anyone else agree with me? I mean that was a huge feature in the first Black Ops, it would be such a shame to see wager matches go after one iteration.

    I want them to return. I always did High Roller and they were so tense! I would love them to return.

     

    If they are not going to have wager matches I just want to see Sharpshooter (The most fun wager match) a game mode for xp.

        Sticks and Stones is the most depressing game ever. Playing High Roller, being 1st the whole game, tomahawked in the last 2 seconds. Story of my life

          haha I completely understand your sentiment...but I never played high roller, so when I lost money it was minial.

    I agree that wager matches should return.

    I'm sure I remember rumours of a new wagermatch with emp grenades and hackable equipment?

     

    Also I think infected would make an awesome wager match whereby the last three survivors get rewarded

    I read an article on it yesterday, but if we're lucky that's wrong. But I haven't heard anything about it today yet. I liked Codpoints, it got rid of the annoying grind that was needed to unlock guns and attachments.

      I have heard rumors there will be wager matches still, hopefully all the ones from blackops plus new ones. But nothing has been confirmed by Treyarch yet. I loved wager matches, they were my favorite thing in blackops, that and playing with bots in offline splitscreen with some friends. And those were the 2 things most people didn't even know about or else I think a lot more people would've played them. I'm so frickin sick of just plain old TDM and FFA, wager matches totally spiced it up. I don't think they will be using cod points, but that doesn't mean they can't have wager matches. I really think that they will, and I hope they come up with some more, and that we can play them offline with 4 players and bots, or in private matches online. I don't know how the hell they're going to cram all this stuff on one disc, they should just have a disc for single player and/or zombies, and one for all the MP stuff.

        either way, I agree with you...wager matches are really a breath of fresh air. And like you said, I don't care that we wouldn't be playing for money. That's not why I played in the first place, they were just hysterical.

      After seeing the livestream finish it seems that the multiplayer 'reveal' didn't actually 'reveal' a whole lot :/ We are still left wondering what features are included in the game... We still don't know what previous features will be returning such as :

      Cod points

      Wager matches

      Custom emblems

      Combat record

      Ranking system

      Class specific scorestreak setups

      Scrolling through scorestreaks

      Score resetting after highest scorestreak obtained

      Contracts

      Even camoflouges and clan tags on guns!

      Kill confirmed and other modes

      Map interactivity (other than moving crates on cargo)

       

      Anybody else disappointed that the multiplayer reveal focussed almost entirely on esports instead of game features?
