I'm an average player as well. I'm more of a patroller/camper with a 1.42 KD and I've managed 44 MOABs.

The difference between a MOAB and a 18+ killstreak boils down to two different things. The first is luck. Maybe you drop that guy with DMH from long range, or that tool with Last Stand and Akimbo FMG9s from behind. Maybe you run into a pack of 3 enemies and your bullets actually register so you can take them out without reloading. Whatever the case is, you luck plays a pretty big factor. Take today and yesterday for instance. I got a MOAB on Arkaden yesrerday. There was a point where I came across a guy using a model. He had the drop on me, fired first but only got a hit marker. I killed him and eventually got a MOAB. Flash foward to today. I'm on a 22 kill streak on Arkaden, and again I encounter a model. I get a few shots off, but he drops me in one shot ending my MOAB streak. A bit of luck helped my MOAB, and being a bit unlucky cost me one.

The second is connection. I don't care how good you are, but connection plays a big role in getting a MOAB. It's tough to get a 24 gunstreak when enemies are jumping all over you're screen and you're bullets aren't registering. I'm not saying you have to be on the receiving end of lag comp to get a MOAB, but you can't have it working against you either.

Those are really the only two things stopping you from getting MOABs. Eventually you'll get to a pint where you are lucky and on a good connection and you'll get that MOAB

If you really want one play abit of kill confirmed as you can easily get more than 75 kills per team and win

yes you can RAG (run and gun) and get a MOAB (ask thisguygotcha), but if the connection gods are not on your side (and you can trust they will not be more than they are): slow your game down and play more tactfully.

I have only gotten 2 (well 1 really cause I forgot to call one it... yeah I do that).  My goal is never to get moabs... my goal is to beat my 26 killstreak (I want to get as high as I can). Getting a MOAB is a consequence, not a result for me.

The way I play while I am leveling though, is not conducive to gett a good killstreak though... I am 19th level 70+ so I will be slowing my game style soon...

I have have around 10. Getting them in TDM is the hardest. Along with all the other sugestions play with a team helps. They can help watch your back if your getting close. The worst is when you have some guy come up and flank you in a gun fight and you lose your streak. Don't camp in the same place the whole time. Shoot some them move to a now location. You will have the whole team running up on you when they know your close and know where your at.

there is alot of factors for a moab.. Getting a MOAB is a great feeling and it is a rush when your close... i never got a MOAB for the longest time, but once you do, it seems like you can get them more often.. once you get it, you just get it.

I have 12 but mine are not from spawn killing, in fact mine are all on acccident. I never went into a game saying Im gonna moab.. its just a hot kill streak, I realize I havent died in a while and all of a sudden, beep beep moab.

I wouldnt say luck has too much to do with it, its about awareness, reading the enemy, reading your team. understanding flow of traffic, choke points, and connection.

anyone who gets a MOAB by standing in an enemy spawn with fmg9 akimbos waiting for them to spawn, and gets a moab from that DOES NOT COUNT

i got one yesterday with the MSR Sniper & support ^__^ lol..

btw is not about connection my boy he lives in colombia & his connection is always on 2 bars or 1...

& he already got 107 moabs. & i been there in every single one.. is about being nice not about connection.. so stop putting connection as an excuse.

I've gotten 21 MOABs. They're a lot easier to get when I play with my clan. I have a 2.04 K/D and I think if i would play a bit slower i would have more MOABs. But I like to Run and Gun with my SMGs. Not a fan of sitting in a corner with laser gun aka ACR 6.8.

I prob have bout 100. I rushed for most but have camped for the last few a couple of times. It takes skill but more luck than anything. You need to have fast relexas and be able to make quick decisions. (This is the skill part) But you cant control the ridiculous spawns and the DMH that litters this game.

If you want to make it easier, don't play solo and don't play on TDM. Best advice is to just always be aware of your surroundings and put yourself in places where you know the enemy will be. Play off your team's position, if you know where your team is at and getting action, you can put yourself in positions to flank the enemy as you know where they are in relation to your team.
