Black Ops 2: Perks Ideas - fixed

Posted by Unusualguide on Jul 30, 2012 11:57 PM

this is my BLOPS2 perks ideas, with corrections due to the problems the other post had.

don't expect it to be perfect, no system is.

Tier 1

Scavenger: Replenish ammo from dead bodies. Pro: Start with extra mags + swap weapons faster.

Marathon: Extended sprint time. Pro: Weapon is ready faster after sprinting + Climb ladders and mantle objects faster.

Sprayer: Reduces hip-fire spread. Pro: Recover faster from equipment usage.

Pyromaniac: Increases explosive damage (does not affect grenade launchers). Pro: Spawn with extra lethal equipment.

Hardline: Killstreaks require 1 less kill. Pro: Every 2 assits counts towards your killstreak.

Tier 2

Spy: Invisible to UAV and Portable Radar. Pro: Invisable to Motion Sensors / Heartbeat Sensors.

Cold Blooded: Invisible to air-support and sentries. Pro: Bullets do extra damage Vs. air support.

Overpower: Have 2 attachments on your primary weapon.Pro: Have a secondary-primary weapon, able to be equipped with 2 attachments.

Marksman: Identify enemies at longer distance. Pro: Increases breath hold time.

Sleight of Hand: Reload faster. Pro: ADS faster. Does not affect scoped weapons.

Tier 3:

Predator: Silent footsteps. Pro: Louder enemy footsteps + no red crosshair or name when targeted.

Flak Jacket: Reduces explosives damage. Pro: Resistance to flash and stun grenades + immune to nova gas.

Lightweight: Move faster. Delay enemy explosives.

X-Ray: Detect enemy explosives and devices. Pro: Increases bullet penetration + bullet damage slows enemies.

Hunter: Increases ADS movement speed. Pro: Reduces weapon's idol sway + flinch when being shot.

Notes:

flack jacket and pyromaniac counter each other.

i feel like sprayer is a more suitable name for the usual "steady aim" perk

X-Ray pro ability slows enemies by 10%. (5% if their movement speed is 80%.)

i put Marksman but i hope that if it will come back, they will give it a little nerf because it is a bit overpowered.

like if you did!

don't forget to leave a comment if you have something to say!

i vote no, putting both major stealth in the same one helps

to similar to older games and keeps stuff originaly removed or modofied for balance.

Spy is WAY underpowered.  1 perk to be immune to 2 killstreaks vs Cold Blodded makes you immune to half?

Also, since you put all of the stealth perks in one teir, put all the rusher perks in one as well.

I doubt people will want to give up their stealth and speed for a defensive or offensive buff ALL of the time.

My early COD 4 setup was Juggernaut almost exclusively.

When I got better I started using Stopping Power, because I realized Juggernaut only gave you one more hit before you died.  And that's if they aren't using Stopping Power.  People would always spray that extra bullet just to make sure.

I later applied that logic to Stopping Power.  I knew it only saved me one bullet sometimes, and I knew I always sprayed too many anyway.

Stopping Power was nice for the R700, because it made body shots a OHK.  But if they used Juggernaut, those stomach hits became hitmarkers, so I learned to just aim for the chest, where it didn't matter if I had Stopping Power or if they had Juggernaut.

After this I started using pretty much all of the perks.  UAV Jammer was nice to keep me off the UAV while I was sniping or using a silenced mp5.  Sleight of Hand was nice for shotguns and LMGs.  Overkill was pretty dumb, because if I wanted a good secondary, I would just pick one off of the first guy I killed, but if you wanted something in particular, you had the option.  I never cared for Sonic Boom, because you only got 3 explosives MAX at a time.  Double Tap was good for the pump-action shotgun, but for the other guns it just made the recoil too un-manageable.  Yes, I still used Stopping Power occasionally, but only for sniping or with the m16 ACOG, when I didn't feel like being stealthy.

I will let you in on a secret:  Juggernaut was disliked because a Juggernaut user would void the M40 ACOG Stopping Power glitch.  In case you didn't know, The M40 ACOG did 75 damage instead of 70.  Stopping Power had a x1.4 multiplier, which made the base damage 105 instead of 98.  This meant a OHK regardless of hit location.  Juggernaut kept glitches from glitching.  This is also why it is common for people to want the M40 in the next COD.

Stopping power was later disliked because there was no counter for it after Stopping Power was removed.
