If the Recon Perk makes a return should you only get one flashbang

Posted by ghamorra on Jul 29, 2012 4:26 PM

It seems flashbangs plays a role in at least 2 out of 3 of my deaths, whether it be Recon or just me not being able to defend myself. I spend a great deal of time with a white screen, to the point where I just start getting pissed off because it happens so much. I'm really starting to think that two flashbangs are too much

A flash bang plays a role in 2 out of 3 deaths?!!?? That is unreal stats were every you got that from i will never know, All i can say is if 2 of 3 deaths are due to a flashbang you need to change your tactics because its clearly is not working for you.

No to the OP. You give up the HUGE advantages of the other perks in exchange for your mini-map bonus. That is the whole point and it doesn't need to be nerfed.  This guy has it right with the EMP grenades, though. There needs to be 2.

No. Scavenger should replenish lethal and tactical. Other wise the perk is pretty much useless.

The main problem with MW2 was Scvanger replenishes lethal and tactical grenades and equipment, noobtubes, and rocket launchers. This resulted in many people camping with their noobtube, grenade spam, and RPG spamming. In MW3, frag grenades and noobtubes received nerfs to the point they were useless in normal playlists when combined with the inability to replenish grenades. This also applies to rocket launchers where they can't be spammed anymore, explosives so people won't spam C4 in Infected and objective modes, and all equipment so people can't spam trophy systems and portable radars. If that perk is buffed to have that ability, MW3 will become a worser game.

Just lethal and tactical. More than likely someone with a trophy system setup would kill the enemy before he could replenish.

The only use frag grenades have in MW3 are blowing up vehicles and to distract the other team. Semtex would be spammed as people would know they can get another one without dying. C4 will become overused in that senerio. Flashbangs and stun grenades will make Recon overused. My point is people will start spamming grenades and explosives which will bring MW3 closer to MW2 style gameplay which is move slowly or camp with a noobtube and spam grenades and explosives everywhere which is why I hate MW2. Scavenger will stay the way it is for years to come due to all the 10 year olds that ruined MW2.

Fix the throw times of the special grenades. It's anyone's guess why the MW3 developer moshpit decided to give concussions and flashbangs the same throw time. I'd be really surprised if the Recon effect is used over the Tac' Mask pro effect though.

im sertinaly for removing flash grenades, its the only secondary/tactical that STOPS someone from fighting back except by spraying, with everything else they can fight back to a good amount. stun, u can still see so still shoot, emp doesnt handycap your ability to defend yourself, adn the others dont handicap the other player, just help the person who used it.

flash bangs should let u only have 1 or flash u for a very short time(like u need to throw form right around the corner and run in right when it goes off to get the guy while hes blind. if u have to throw then run 10 feet+ to enter the room then all u would have done is tell him your comming.)  and that would make it as effective as the other secondaries.

People didn't complained about flashbangs since COD4 and because of 1 perk, people are now whining about them. Scvanger does not refill grenades and equipment anymore so having 2 at spawn is critical to survival. Also, they should not be nerfed on the grounds that in MW3, Blast Shield Pro reduces the effects of getting stunned or flashed which is a perk designed to counter explosives and flashbangs and stun grenades. Also, Blind Eye Pro will make it to where Recon will only make you show up as a red dot instead of a red arrow.

It was Dead Silence. To be honest, I've rarely ran that perk so I wasn't aware of that ability. All I knowed before you told me was it makes your footsteps silent which counters Sitrep Pro and the Pro version nullifies fall damage.

I've hated flash grenades since Call of Duty 4.

If you need a completely blind and completely deaf enemy to win a gunfight, you're doing something wrong, and do not deserve the kill.

Recon hurts nothing, and I would love to see it come back. Hey, if the pro perk was easier to get, I'd use it all the time!

Flash-spam a long with grenade spam is annoying as hell. However it won't change until they think of a way to reward the careful player rather than the dude that would run in to everywhere and attempt to drop-shot anything around.

The Trophy System was a good step. Blast Shield Pro on MW3 was just weak on a monumental scale. BS Pro on BOps was way way waaaaaay better.

Agreed. I just can't fathom how they act like they are giving you something that was awesome once before.. but it doesn't even work on MW3.

I loved BS Pro on BOps. Was a brilliant perk and one of my favourites by a clear distance.

With MW3, they give the snipers the ability to one-shot people with the use of a few perks. The ability to rushers to drop shot - put rapid-fire with silencer and Steady Aim. Pro varients being way more potent and 10x more of a game-breaker than Blast Shield Pro.

I hope they bring it back.

LOL! They made a certain pro perk useless for close to half the life-time of the game... Good job guys!

The entire experience of MW3 is useless. I've only been able to create one class that I thought was set up where all perks meshed together decently. Unfortunately, I still don't care a great deal too much for the class. Sleight of hand, Quickdraw, & Stalker. There's no perfect class setup in the game. Not for perks, equipment, killstreaks or anything. Black Ops was perfect in my opinion. Perks (even Pro versions), equipment, kill streaks, etc. There could be plentiful combinations and with good thought, they would come together perfectly.

Hopefully, Treyarch builds off of that and makes it better and disregardes EVERYTHING THAT IS MW3.

Mw3 was half arsed, they lost most of there veteran designers after mw2, mw3 was about making money as they knew it would sell. Mw4 thats one piece of crap i will not buy.

I doubt there will be a MW4. I actually wouldn't mind remastered CoD games while they work longer on "New" projects.

There will be cods until the market has gone and cod is not as profitable, for a remasterd game it needs to be old like halo combat evolved. They have 2 years to make a cod if they can't make a good game in tht time well....

I don't know if I will purchase any other COD games unless it belongs to Treyarch. They seem to have it right now since the original IW is gone.

The only time I have an issue with them is in CORE...  When I play ANY CORE mode, I can guarantee that nearly half of my game is going to be spent blinded or stunned or emp'd...  It really only has it's advatanges there as you have a mini-map to help you out.

The smalller maps also make this easier to spam.  I know on DOME it is a lethal/tactical fest up in the air.  If you find a safe corner during a match, look towards the sky sometime.  It will amaze you the ammount of objects being thrown around.
