Prototype 2 PC Memory Leak (please release patch)

Hello I've been playing Prototype 2 for a few hours now and it's the best game I've played in a long time but after 15mins or so of playing it will lag up badly and eventually lead to a crash to desktop. After this because I have a CPU RAM meter on desktop I can see that the RAM is at 99% and this happens everytime I play it. Hopefully you can release a patch to address the issue as I've been searching around and found that others are having the same problem.
My system is:
Win7 Ult x64 (fully updated sp1)
athlon II x3
4gb ddr3 1333
HD4890 1gb (latest driver catalyst 12.6)
Same problem here. The ram usage for Prototype 2 goes to 2.8GB and then crashes, the time for it to happen differs, but it's usually 20-30min of gameplay. Sometimes, the RAM Usage goes back to normal if you change your video settings to whatever you like(The point is that you're changing the options, it doesnt matter what to), but like I said it only works sometimes.
System Specs:
Win7 Ultimate X64
Intel i7
4GB RAM
2x Ati HD 4850 512mb
No sound card(Realtek drivers)
My dxdiag: http://pastebin.com/ynUKy33K
Same problem. Win 7 Pro x64, AMD Phenom 1090T, 4G RAM, 2x6970.
About 20 min of gameplay and it stucks in moment (from 30 to 3-5 fps).
Yep, same here. The game starts to lag a little, the audio starts to skip then bam! Instant crash. It seems to really get bad for me during indoor scenes such as lairs and stuff. Has nothing to do with how much action happens in there either because outside when the action heats up it stills runs smooth. Usually gets to around the 2.8 Gb mark before it craps out. Shame too because I am really enjoying this game much more than the first. I sure hope Activision actually takes note of this and fixes it ASAP because it's really ruining the experience for me. We are not the only ones with this issue either. Check out this link to the steam forums:

I've got the same problem, nuff said.
Win 7 64 bit
HD 5770; 12.7 beta driver
4 GB ddr3 1600
AMD FX 6100
So I found out that Radical Entertainment has been "closed down" by Activision, does this mean there will be no patch or will Activision make one? Would be nice to get an answer from a mod.
Same pb for me.
The sole diff is that the game doesn't crash because I have 6GB of RAM.
But it still is very slow (10 fps) at 2,8GB used... >_>
And before the release they said they take the time to make a good PC version...
Only morons...
I've been doing a bit of reading on this issue as it's happening to me as well. Although, I can't seem to contact Activision's support center. There's only a knowledgebase which contains absolutely NOTHING related to this problem. If anyone can can help me out with a link (except this one: https://support.activision.com/pkb_Home?clickedOn=Prototype_2) so I can contribute to demanding activision for a patch, I'd appreciate it.
I've also noticed that some folks using Windows 7 64-bit seems to have less issues than those running 32-bit.
Also, most of the guys having an issue are using ATI graphics cards (irrespective of crossfire). Does this mean more of us should load 64-bit until a patch is released to resolve this issue?
I think those using 32bit means that they have less ram due to 32bit limit and it will crash quicker than 64bit because they have more ram. I should also add that its not the ram usage that gives me lag as i first thought because i kept tabbing out and checking when i got lag and saw the ram was only at 50%. I think its a hardware compatability issue because my gpu usage never goes past 50% and while my 4890/athlonIIx3 setup isnt great it should easily handle this game.
I think it has nothing to do with 32 or 64 bit, since i am running Win7 64bit. I have exact the same problems (Crash, Slow Game Speed, ...), sometimes after 5 minutes, sometimes after 30 minutes.
A patch is really needed, ASAP
System:
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 950 @ 3.07GHz (8 CPUs), ~3.1GHz
RAM: 12288MB RAM
DirectX: DirectX 11
Grapics: AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series (Crossfire Mode)
Graphics Memory: 3795 MB
Well Iam not having this sort of problem, maybe because I have 32-bit version of windows 7 and I used a Ram patch to fix the Ram limit from 2.32 GB usable to 3.90 GB. I advise you to try it at [This Site] and select 4GB Ram patch tool.
My system:
-Windows 7 32-bit
-Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 M480 @2.67 GHz
-4GB ram
-AMD radeon HD 7600M series 2714 MB
And still, the game runs swiftly.
Same thing here, thing was I did put in a support ticket, it's currently elevated but for PC version they will hardly help if your computer was custom built or if you're using a laptop of any kind, the first agent hung up on me when I tried telling him different that my laptop was a gaming laptop, he took me to system requirements lab which from my experience is highly inaccurate, the second agent I had to lie to get to help, here are my specs as of now:
Windows 7 Ultimate x64
Intel Core i7 Q 720 clocked at 1.6gHz, but with turbo boost 2.3gHz
ATI Mobility Radeon HD5000 series, 1024MB RAM
8GB DDR3 1333mHz RAM kit (2x 4GB)
Western Digital Scorpio Blue 1TB hard drive clocked at 5400 RPM
I had to tell them my laptop was a desktop and that it was stock, they do not offer support for custom built desktop computers. They are looking into it, I gave them an mdmp file, my MSinfo file, and my DXDiag file, hopefully they look into it and actually help, I did bring up memory leaks, keyboard issues, language file problems (you have to run the game in another language than english to get the memory leak fixed to a point) and mouse lag, My computer model is a Lenovo IdeaPad Y560, the CPU and GPU came stock, the ram and hard drive were upgraded from half of what they are now
Here is what is really funny. I installed the game on my pc and installed the game on a friends pc. It crashed on me the same bs and crashed on my friends pc with the same bs. The difference is I was using win xp sp3 32bit and my friend was using the same os but with 64bit. Fact is activision needs to get off their asses and fix this issue already and thats nuff said.
I have the same problem. I am not able to play the game as it was designed to be due to a massive memory leak.
64bit i7 920
4gb DDR3
HD4890 Radeon
Windows 7 64bit
Same here. I bought the game on Steam sale and I really like it... except that it starts swapping on the hard drive like crazy after about 30 minutes of playing.
64-Bit Windows 7
4GB RAM
Radeon 6870
Phenom II 920@3.4GHz
Thank You activision i lost 20 euro for this **** game, When a patch for this **** framerate? do you know how to do a patch or do you know only take money.
Activision has shutted down the developers of this game guys , that's why people call Activision is the devil .
Also , I played Prototype 2 on my windows XP Service pack 32bit , no fps drop , no crashing , smoothy , perfect. Seems like windows 7 got lots of problem with this game.
