What's the point of the Camo for weapons?

Im just wondering what is the point of camo for weapons when it's only you who can see it?

When someone is spectating you or just lookin at you he wont see your camo for weapon.

I thought Camos are to make you less visible (like in MGS,you put better camo and soldier wont see you)

It's mostly for your own entertainment value but you can also see other players weapon camo in game. You have to look closely but it's there. I doubt that anyone actually changes their camo based on the map to be used as you would real life camo.

  I agree; I can see the camo on some people's weapons if I am close enough to them. It's especially true of gold camo.
  
  Usually, when I pick up a enemy's weapon, it has camo on it. (Not always, though.)
  
  I prefer to use the first tier camo (the first one unlocked) except for my stealth classes. Then, I use digital urban so I remember which type of class I am running.

I was using gold P90 and someone killed me in SnD,then my clan mate took it and it was normal without any camo. i sent him msg n he said its gold.

And sovietcookie,i want gold ones they are cool but whats the point of having them if noone else can see them? (i have lots of gold weapons,i use just to show off but now i realized noone will see until i drop em.)

No clue, but I prefer my red camo over the gold..
