Air Support weakness

Why is it easier for enemy's to take out my Pavelow then my Cobra? I call in the Cobra and quickly get one or two kills at least before it is shot down, but when my big heavy comes in, it is downed before it even hits the map. I think high kill streaks should get a sort of "spawn protection" while on approach so you can at least get something for your effort.

I do that so I wouldnt want that spawn protection idea but I do think higher kill streaks such as Pave Low should be harder to take down, at least add more flares if anything since it requires the same amount of kills as the AC130.

hey dub, i'll tell you what i do when i see that senario come up.  i always run blind eye these days, as it takes only twenty to thirty rounds of my silenced mp7 to take down a recon plane, and get a pointstreak as a result!  anyways, if i wasn't running it when a chopper comes in i might switch then, especially if my clan is getting mowed down by the helo, so by the time you call in your pavelow im ready to down anything air support.  i experienced this senerio when i would call in pred, helo and ah6!  the standard chopper would get kills, but the ah6 would get downed quickly!?

It only takes one Stinger shot to take down a Cobra. But it's comforting to hear your Pavelow is coming down with a quickness. That means more people are using anti airsupport these days which is rare for me to find. I feel like I'm the only one in the world who uses a Stinger these days.

I think kill streaks are fun, but are also a bit nooby, to have an automation runninga round the map kill people for you, really isnt you killing them, thast wh I think specialist is the true signs of the real good players. im guilty of using KS here and there, but I mostly use specialist.. in my opinion, I think KS should be even easier to kill

By the time you get a Pavelow there's a good chance and a SAM turret is out. Also once the enemy hears "enemy Pavelow inbound", they're more apt to respond than if they hear "Enemy Attack Helicopter in coming"

I'd try calling them in closer together.  That way at least one of them has a better chance of surviving.  The pavelow only takes two shots to down but it stays on twice as long at the AC130 which I think that devs thought would balance things but I'd rather have it set up like the AC130.  It's just too easy to shoot down as is which is why I don't run it.

They're so easy to take out because when left alone they absolutely dominate. I've had games on Village where I'm getting constant +50 pop up on my screen because the enemy fails to take out my Pavelow.

Personally I like the trade off. Id say 1 out of every 3 Pavelows I get absolutely dominates while the others get taken out fast. I would rather have the potential to dominate, with the trade off that it could get shot down quick

I haven't read all the prevous posts but maybe a couple of the enemy's got killed by your cobra...switched classes, took out your cobra and then were ready to get rid of your pavelow as soon as they heard it incoming!

Be thankful your cobra got a couple kills. I will shoot down a heli before it reaches the map. What I wish is that we didn't have so many helicopter based killstreaks. You can't call in an osprey if there is a heli in the air already, which sucks since an osprey is more than doubled the killstreaks required to get it. Hell, if there is killstreaks in the air, you can't even call in a damn care package. Way too many helicopter based killstreaks.
