EMP overpowered

Like most i feel the EMP is way OP.
Things I hate about EMPS.
1. They are to easy to get in games like ground war and domination.
2. They take down hard earned high kill streak rewards such as pavelow and osprey gunner
3. They last to long
I would like to suggest two ways i think it can be made better.
1. At 18 points the EMP should be localised to a certain blast radius and only effect electrical based items that are under a 7 streak and only last 50% of the current time. A mini EMP if you like.
or
2. Raise the 18 point limit to say 26 points to get a big EMP. At 26 points affect a whole map for say 75% of the current time but for killsteaks higher than 12 it doesnt take them down but affects guidance/thermal/aiming systems making it harder to get kills.
They already have a" localized " EMP. And as far as it taking out killstreaks like Pavelow and osprey gunner, what do expect? IT'S AN EMP. Your suggestions are void do to the lack of thought put in to it. It is not OP and to try and say so is retarded.
Theyre not "overpowered"... They do exactly what theyre meant to do. Nothing more, nothing less. The only thing that you could argue is how long they last. But even then, ITS NOT A BIG DEAL. Besides, if the other team is getting to 18 kills before your team, what does that tell you? Theyre probably the better team that match.
Plus, you shouldnt rely on, or get too excited about your killsteaks because im gonna shoot them down anyways. ![]()
Actually it's not an 18 KILLstreak, it's an 18 POINT streak, so anyone with hardline pro can get it in under 2 minutes, between kills, assists, and objectives. I personally don't think that they should last a full minute, it's annoying as all hell when the whole enemy team keeps setting off emps every 40 or so seconds.
You guys just dont get it. The developers dont want people to rely on their killstreaks to win games. They wanted this game to have increased gun on gun gameplay, hence why killstreaks and air support are so easy to destroy or avoid.
People think that just because they earn a Pavelow or an AC130 that they're entitled to a bunch of free kills, but it doesnt exactly work like that. People have the right to defend themselves if they're equipped to, wether thats a launcher or an EMP or just using the Blind Eye perk.

Sorry dude but you're wrong. Just because you earned 9 or 11 kills in a row doesnt mean you are entitled to a bunch of free kills. It doesnt work that way. You are given a reward that COULD grant you a few more kills but theres no reason why it should be guaranteed. Despite that, the fact still remains that everyone playing has the right to defend themselves against killstreaks. If you're chopper gets shot down right away then its tough luck for you.
I like to use the Specialist package. Often times Ill get my specialist bonus and then Ill die right away. I dont feel like I was entitled the ability to slay all my enemies with ease just because Im a superhuman. I dont feel like Im entitled to free rewards or kills just because I achieved a certain killstreak. If my enemies kill me then they kill me.
Killstreaks are made to hunt down the guys who arent using Blind Eye and the guys who dont shoot down air support. There are lots of players out there like that, therefore your Pavelow and AC130 should always grant you at least 1 or 2 kills. Do you deserve more than that? Not even close. The developers want these games to be played with more gun on gun action yet guys like you are still highly dependant on their killstreaks to rack up their score.
The only thing I really don't like is the flash. Why does it have to flash your teammates? Also, if your team uses it and one of your teammates is near someone who has assassin pro they will most likely get killed from something that is supposed to support their team. I guess the best thing to do is just warn your teammates before setting it off.

The only thing I would change with the EMP (like someone above me already stated) is to not flash your friendlies. I always seem to die when they go off. Other than that EMP is just fine.
The only thing I hate is when in team games the enemy keeps chaining EMPs. I think there should be a 1 minute cooldown after one EMP is finished for the team that calls it to prevent chaining EMPs.
Not many people can even get 18 kills, and if someone does, it's usually ONLY the best players on the team, who might not even be running Support.
EMPS should last less time and have a small cool down.
Last 45 seconds with a 15 second cooldown.
and make it a 20 point streak.
Fair, balanced and still very useful.
Nothing sucks more then having 5 strait minutes of EMPS and stealth bombers...
Assassin Pro users retain their HUD even if an EMP or MOAB fallout is active but they still can't use killstreaks for 1 minute just like everyone else. Last time I checked, I rarely see people resort to EMPs as they usually use stealth bombers instead. MW3 EMPs are fine the way they are.
The only change I would make to EMP would be to make so that also affects friendly electronics as well. It's an EMP. It should affect everything. Maybe then people wouldn't spam it as much. They would have to give careful consideration as to when to call it in so they don't screw over their teammates.
That wouldn't go so well, you'd have trolls who would wait with EMPs and use it once a teammate gets a good killstreak reward.

Lol, I can forsee random friendly teammates purposely saving their EMP's so once you earn your assault pointstreaks, they call in their EMP and your friendly air support gets taken down.
No offense but that would be a bad idea.
I guess you're right. I hadn't considered that. I just don't like how unrealistic the EMP is. I don't like how unrealistic a lot of things are in this game.

The community are full of ar*eholes who'll purposely take advantage of your idea just to annoy you similar to those who trap teammates in corners & in HC (before it switched to Ricochet), team kill with a SMAW at the beginning of a HC S&D round)
I see where you're coming from though. Allowing teammates to think twice before calling in a EMP BUT that requires communication & strategy in which only happens when you're playing with friends.

no shotguns are OP aswell since you apparently do not have to aim and they are OHKs.
