i am currently talking to activision support via chat. i suggest you do the same as well.
if they start telling you to dump the update & reinstall, or recover your GT or anything that would be affecting YOU ALONE, tell them no and point them to this thread and the several others that have been going on for the last week.

gregg, that was my other gripe to them, the server status has never once said there was an issue.
today i told them that i was going to start calling every media outlet under the sun if they didnt at least admit there was a problem by next tuesday...
not that it will actually do any good... but c'mon activision... all you had to do was at least admit there was a problem... but your support people telling IT guys who know better that the issue is on their end and then not admitting on top of that? that just pissed me off.

been having these problems since they did the exp weekend and half price maps. been playing fine all day and then whenit hit 9pm united kingdom time its all gone to pot and playing up here there and everywere, its took us 45 min to get close to a game was in for a min, and then kicked out of it

no way of knowing. the only time they even admit there is a problem is when you call them or go to live chat and point out that there are tons of other people having problems too.
the problem is that either not enough people are complaining (and really... out of every single person thats taken the time to come here to complain or gone to the xbox forums to complain, how many more are just popping in a different game and just not going to deal with the problem at all?).
or..... and less appealing of an answer....
they simply dont care because not enough people are complaining and they know exactly what the problem is but dont want to fix it for whatever reason.

Its been like this for just over a week - its an absolute disgrace. Every night at 7.45 / 8pm it goes to a black screen and you cant get another game. Not a great advert for black ops 2!!!!!!!!

lol, when i called to make sure that i had the right number for support it says there are now 8 callers ahead of me with a 5 minute wait time... so apparently im not the only person calling in.
but please.. feel free to call anyway.. the more people that call, the larger they see the problem as being.

ya know... im not sure why activision would be telling people to go to the twitter feed of an IW producer when they have a server status page and multiple websites where all they need to do is have someone... anyone.... pop in and just say "hey guys... we are aware of a problem"
you dont really even have to say what exactly the problem is...just ....something.
having to go to Marks feed to find that there are some major issues that have been going on for weeks? just a bad bad call there guys....

when you click xbox live forums, to see wat they have to say about the problems all you get is run time error,

its most likely your browser on that one. reset your internet explorer & if that doesnt work, try using chrome or firefox.
i have had zero issues with the xbox forums in chrome today.

Thanks for the link, but he looks about as helpful for getting the issues resolved as me. Also, he is saying it is Xbox live, which I know it isn't as two other people in my house are watching Amazon instant video and Netflix with no issues. .

i just got off the phone with xbl networking support. they gathered a bit of information (ISP, error status report from network test, what have i done so far etc). but they clearly stated this is a known issue on their end and they are working on the issues right now but its not an xbl issue, its an activision issue. and they were very intent on being clear on that point.
i did point out rubins twitter feed to them, he said they were aware of it but (for obvious reasons) could not comment on it.
He did confirm that there are some minor rumblings about other non COD titles that are having some issues but they are pretty much getting hammered with calls regarding activision titles right now.

Well, I cannot get a match with BOPS, MW2, or MW3... guess I should be happy that no activision titles I own actually works. Might as well switch to PS3....at least there I get to do nothing for free.
