What kind  of pointstreak system do you want?

Posted by dibbul on Jul 4, 2012 12:20 AM

Do you want pointstreaks to be powerful, or just help out your team a bit? Do you want the kills earned in one to chain towards the next one? (For example, if I earn a Reaper at a 9 pointstreak, and three kills in my Reaper will count towards my AC-130 at 12 pointstreak.)

I think I would like pointstreaks to chain, so you can access higher rewards more easily, but them to be less powerful so they don't dominate the battlefield constantly.

Please post your ideas to let Treyarch know what the community wants so we can have it in Black Ops 2.

No chaining. That was a big mistake in MW2.
And the shouldn't dominate. To help that. Give people that shoot at killstreakrewards a xp reward even when not destroying like they did in BO

I felt MW3 had it right. Chaining for Assault, no chaining for Support. Killstreaks in Assault weren't drastically overpowered like a few were in MW2. If anything, they might've been SLIGHTLY underpowered.

For what I saw, no chaining in Black Ops destroyed the variety in killstreaks. The recon streaks were the closest thing we saw to chaining, so they were used by the masses.  Most wanted to get to the 9 and 11 killstreaks, and the best way to do that was Spy Plane and Blackbird. Using something like Napalm Strike/Mortar Team did nothing in that regard, so they were rarely seen.

Personally, I believe Treyarch should follow the MW3 killstreak system with Black Ops II.

i think mw3 assualt, support, and specialist were nice.they should have chaining for assualt and have less dominating killstreaks in support.

How about you go play barebones then? Whenever I check there is very little people playing it because people realise how dull the game is without killstreaks. I've lived and breathed killstreaks since mw2, I love the adrenaline rush it gives you. I was disappointed with the assualt package in mw3. All the choppers usually get about one kill before they are shot down and the land killstreaks like the IMS and juggernaut really blow. The only good killstreaks in the assualt package are the reaper and the pred missle. I find myself always using the specialist package just because I don't have to worry about EMPs or stingers.

However, I do agree killstreaks need to be harder to get then they are in mw3. Killstreaks IMO should be powerful but hard to get so they captialize on the adrenaline rush that they are supposed to give. If they don't give you a rush, then there is something wrong with them.

MW2 made them OP, Black ops made them balanced, and mw3 made them UP.

I would of liked black ops killstreaks more if they just had more of them.

Agree with you about no death streaks though.
