Missing Clan Operation Data - When will the 11 Ops be restored?
-
Like (1)
We like many have 11 clan ops that are not displaying properly. We have received our clan XP and badge but no individual or over all stats are posted. All we get is....
"Your clan's leaderboard is being constructed, it will appear here shortly.
This leaderboard will show the scores of each of your clan's members in this operation."
The Clan Ops in question are:
(1) 1160 - Core KC - 4/13/12
(2) 1164 - Core TDM - 4/15/12
(3) 1166 - Core KC - 4/16/12
(4) 1168 - HC TDM - 4/17/12
(5) 1176 - Core KC - 4/19/12
(6) 1185 - Core KC - 4/21/12
(7) 1187 - Core TDM - 4/20/12
(8) 1192 - Core KC - 4/22/12
(9) 1194 - HC TDM - 4/27/12
(10) 1195 - Core DOM - 4/28/12
(11) 1222 - Core TDM - 4/29/12
When will these be fixed?
If you have this issue contact Activision Customer Support http://support.activision.com
State it is the same issue as reported on case number is **********
Clan - The DOPE clan
Why is Activision's telephone number and the case number referencing this issue censored by the admins?...
PM me those numbers again, tallowby. I'll post them everywhere I can, since they're being jerks.
I also have exactly the same issue you do, tallowby. Not one of those ops shows for me, and thank you for actually going back and getting the op numbers. (I was thinking about it, but got too lazy.) Thanks!

Sent activision.... this was response.
@Tallowby Still no official word about this. We will see if we can get an update about this issue. Stay tuned...
That's better than no response at all. Barely.
Beachhead,
An update is required!
Send Call of Duty Elite a message on twitter they will take care of it. Did for me.
I tweeted them and Beachhead yesterday about a separate issue and still haven't heard back. FYI... tallowby, I posted the case # yesterday and it stayed up at least ten hours. ![]()
I tweeted both 3 days ago and today..... One response posted above and nothing since.

You don't actually think they would keep data that old do you? afte a while that info just becomes wasted space; no need to keep it.
You got a badge and XP, isn't that enough? i for one wouldn't care about months old ops.
We can still see operational data for the first eight (nine for some) operations... So your point about the age of data is moot. There is existing data older, so why would they delete it? Having the badge and XP is all well and good, but my clan has a running bet between divisions and we would like to have the data so our stats (and bets) will be 100% accurate.
So you think we're asking too much to have the info for every clan op? Seems to me that we paid for this, so it shouldn't be too much to ask.
Our clan had the same problem but only (9) 1194 - HC TDM - 4/27/12 didnt give us any xp just said the leaderboard will be constructed shortly
And whoever said we got a badge and xp, we didnt we got nothing.
I doubt there is any way it can be fixed now because it was 3 months ago, I say elite should tell us they messed up give the clans involved compensation xp, unenlist us from the op so it shows we hadnt enlisted in it (I like have a 100% enlist to badge ratio)
Then all these topics will be gone, problem sorted
I honestly think with all the problems we have had to go threw that we were not given what we paid for. Name me one feature on the site that we haven't had an issue with! What other service on the planet works like that? I hate the fact that we were force fed garbage and told to like it. This because they (BH) performed poorly and we had to deal with it because we paid for a pile of problems. I think in this case that elite got hacked, the data was corupted and destroyed. That is the only thing that makes sense to me and even then, you would think that data backups were made to recover with?
8 months in and we still don;t have clan challenges. How long are we supposed to wait, until no one plays the game anymore? These issues should have been sorted out before they took our money.
I think that do to their poor security measures, they should offer us some compensation. Oh and in case you think your accounts are secure, think again ... Your passwords and not encrypted! They are stored in plain text and are waiting for any noob hacker to breach your account. Just one of the lazy short cuts that this company has to offer in return for your paid loyalty!
I'm tired oF being nice and waiting to be fed more BS. I just wish that the service did what it says it was supposed to do. Elite has cause more frustration then any other service and/or game EVER. MORE THEN THE DMV FFS!
I agree with pretty much everything you said, but I'm stubbornly holding on to the last little vestige of hope that Beachhead can right this thing. I am forcing myself to believe they'll at least have everything up and running "properly" by the end of the summer. The scoring system they're using is anything but sensible to make clan ops a true "competition" and yes, there are serious (and concerning) issues regarding cheating/boosting. But at least it's something.
Ok, here's the answer I got directly from Beachhead via PM here. I don't think anyone will like it (I certainly don't), but at least the question is answered.
"The leaderboards for these operations were unfortunately overwritten. This was due to a server glitch which we've since corrected to ensure that it will not occur again. All XP and Badges earned for these Operations have been saved and applied to participating clans. Beachhead"
So it's exactly as i predicted, who would purposefully overwrite information that customers paid for? Imagine iif a bank did this? All of a sudden you have a new balance!!! Imagine how the world would trip! Like i said, they got hacked, part of the database got corrupted (or in their words "ovverwritten" and that section of the database is un retrievable. It's called an SQL INJECTION. It's nice to see though that you got a bit of truth out of them. Good work Silent. Oh and BH. You know as much as me that if you would have paid for a real database instead of open source software that this would have never happened. Just another lazy way to design a cost effective application. Only problem is that BH assumed we were all kids that wanted to play mw3 and would be fooled into believing everything BH said. This is why they stopped answering people for awhile (when 402 was around) Another thing that comes to mind BH ... If you would have delivered instead of manipulating your customers this probably happened and you wouldn't have gotten nailled multiple amounts of times with DDOS ATTACKS. F>Y>I> when you can;t log into elite it's because they are being DDOS'ed. Their only solution which is laughable at best is rebooting the server. When it comes to security BH is by far the worst company to have put out a web application. My 9th grade son knows how to do a better job then you do and it's his first year of high school web design ><
Now my question becomes... If the data was overwritten, then how do they KNOW clan badges and XP? Wouldn't that be part of the data overwritten? This whole issue (and even the answer we got) stinks like a month old dead fish.
My assumption is that at one point the information was displayed and safe. Some information may have been specificaly targeted. or maybe just a random data block was nailled. Databases are very similar to say excell spreadsheets. lot'sa rows and columns. Every row is a user and every column is a function (let's say for EG. K/D). The attacker must have tried to modify the results and by trying to save his results outside of the application, by the way it was saved, that process itself corrupted a specific "Block" of information.
Also, for the purpose of arguing this point BH Could do something about it. Granted it would take forever but you can manually re populate the fields after this has happened. If you have a good back up that is. Which leads to ...
My last comment on this would have to be "OVERWRITTEN" WTF?????????? How can you not have made daily backups of this information. The information itself is what the service provides and lives off of. What comes to mind here is that the attacker was smart enough to even nail the backup also. Or the company was to stupid to keep on to start off with. In that case then yeah, we are definately super hooped.
Sad though, even though they say they can't do anything, i beg to differ. As previously stated if they weren't so cheap they would have had more protection to start off with.
To further add to that, we paid for all that information to be displayed. If it was 50,0000 users K/D that said that i bet allot more peopel would be upset! How they left us in a lurch is un acceptable and we should be asking for some kind of re imbursment or credit of somekind.
