Just about every match I've played for the past few weeks I get kicked from the game, this error pops up then it puts me back in the multiplayer menu, it really is doing my head in, 3 games ago I was on a 14 kill streak then 2 games ago I was 28 for 12 on Oasis, a map I do terrible on and this happens again.
Is this crap happening with anyone else here or have I just been extremely unlucky recently?
Check your NAT type.
Yeah its open and on DMZ for the xbox, also this had only happened a few times since release and now its happening constantly but Bops and FIFA have been just the same as usual.
Dunno clear your cache recently? Maybe an IP conflict? Are you using a static IP or DHCP? If it's static make sure it is out of the DHCP range.
I have also had this a few times but its normally late at night and only playing against people in the US (I'm in the UK).
It as really annoying as a friend and myself were going for a perfect week in terms of wins (playing face off) and we were soooo close but then this happened then happened again and again and again........ Needless to say the Xbox got turned off.
I forgot to say that it goes down as a loss
This has been a huge issue for about 10% of the user base since release. Different patches coincide with improvement of some and degradation for others.
Support Xbl Activion ELite_help have tried, heel I ave even put in dedicated Xbox, Internet and had one of our sys eng review and adjust set up just for mw3 all to no avail.
I have accepted that I am just not one of the luck ones and just put up with it........sans the odd on line rant....read YOU OWE ME 1.7m points thread lol.
I was getting dropped from games a lot, maybe 1 out of 4. I had my router port-forwarded to the Blops ports and my NAT type was Moderate. I got a new phone and couldn't remember my router password so I had to reset my router and I port forwarded it to the MW3 ports. Now my NAT type is open and I hardly ever get dropped from games. I doubt this will help but this was my experience.
I used to be doubtful that your router/xbox settings would affect your online play but I was 100% wrong.
If you assign a static IP within your routers DHCP range your router could assign that IP address to another device dynamically on your network and cause a IP conflict so it is important to check the range that DHCP uses.
Is this just not a standard dashboarder who has ended a game by dashboarding?
Do you use a lag switch? If you use a lag switch for too long you get disconnected.
Could be host dashboarding.
Might want to set up QoS if anyone else is on the network.
Are you on college dorm internet?
No its not not a lag switch and I have my own Internet with only 2 devices on it and it cant be host dashboarding with the frequency of which it is happening of late, nothing at all wrong with my network either as I play FIFA and Bops as much as MW3 and they have both been perfect.
I have been having this same problem constantly I am getting pretty fed up with it too and i dont use no gay lag switch and dang sure dont know how to change settings on a router or modem so if anyone has any information that could help out i would greatly appreciate it
