Has anyone noticed how bad this game really is?

I've been playing CoD since CoD4, and I remember all the fun I had with that game. The guns were balanced and people played the objective. People didn't whine about those that chose to use UAV Jammer, and people didn't camp all the time.
Enter MW2. I didn't meet my first OMA tuber until 1/3 of the game's play expectancy had passed. I had no idea what he was doing until someone told me about OMA. I picked up the OMA tube and became a vicious monster. A few weeks later after I started getting bored of annihilating people with it, I notice that everyone else had picked it up as well. and didn't do anything else. This was no problem to me, as they were easy to kill, and the game was still fun.
Enter Black Ops. People started hiding with Ghost, people started whining about it, and sometimes the randoms you got on your team wouldn't play the objective. The game was overall still pretty fun to play.
Enter MW3. Lag compensation means that people on welfare who steal wireless from the nearby McDonalds have a better chance at this game then someone with a decent connection. Pump action shotguns are terribly inconsistent. No random that you get on your team will play the objective unless you get a random party of 4 or more on your team. Everyone seems to care so much about their K/D in every game that they have to camp with Blind Eye and Assassin, just to lose the match. Some people care about their win streak just as much, so they leave the game right at the end to avoid ending their win streak. The current matchmaking system searches on everyone's connection instead of the party leader, making it take forever to find matches. I don't even mind that most people just run around with the Type 95, ACR, or MP7, since i'll just do it too, but then people whine about what guns others use, like they think they're better for not using them, even though it hurts their own K/D and possibly their W/L if they suck enough.
Is it just me, or has MW3 stopped being fun, and started seeming like a uneccesary chore to deal with? It's no wonder why most of my friends that beast at this game and love CoD have ragequit MW3 to start playing Skyrim and Minecraft.
of all people to make another one of these threads.
What? I'm just asking a simple question: Doesn't this game just seem stressful compared to the others?
Listen. If you play too much of aaaaaaaaany game, it begins to feel like a chore. You have to find other games to fall back on once and awhile. When you come back, its fun again. The point I was making is that th title to this thread appears at least once every other day by kids presenting their first posts to the forums that had a bad experience the night before and cant get over it. If its not fun, take a break and come back, or take a break and dont. I was just suggesting you dont become a cliche.
I know, I just want to know if anyone else thinks that this game causes more stress than any other CoD. I played Black Ops way more than this game, and loved every minute of it. Since some of my friends stopped playing this game, i've been reduced to playing Face-off with the 2 that still play. Between that and participating in every Clan Op, my K/D has dropped from a 4.00 to a 3.40 in like a month, and I really don't even care anymore. It's not really that i've played too much of this game, it's just the quality of the game that i've been playing.
I even broke down and bought GRFS. That game is terrible by the way.
I hated BOPSmainly cause there was absolutely no sniping in that game except for that one snow map, and then they would spawn people 10 feet behind you and youd die anyway.
Face off is a K/D destroyer due to the horrible spawn system. That may be your problem. Clan ops are killing my K/D which is very similar to yours, but you do it for the greater of the team, and dont think too much of it.
After the last GR, I knew I was done with that series. The way characters move in COD is so smooth that all other FPS feel sluggish and sway too much. I was ready for BF3 to be my new love. But the beta was the buggiest load of garbage ever. Then th game came out, and it was worse. I wanted to drive vehicles cause I missed the tanks from WAW. All the vehicles in BF handle like heaps of junk. And you have to play Domination to use them. The TDM maps are reduced to such a smal area its comical, and makes the cod spawning system seem innovative LOL, and you cant use the vehicles in TDM. BF3 was the biggest disappointment for me ever. PS -the lag in BF3 made this game seem light years ahead of its time....and thats embarrassing.
Yea, after playing so much of this game it starts to not become fun anymore and you start to notice all the campers, the full elite parties vs the random people which is an obvious loss, the rpg whores and so on. Thats why when you start to feel like that its about time for you to log off and do somthing else or play some other game. Atleast thats what i do. I am 7th prestiege in the game and i have to say getting there has been hell with all the little annoying things that start showing up in the game.
LMAO!! "Lag compensation means that people on welfare who steal wireless from the nearby McDonalds have a better chance at this game then someone with a decent connection."
Magic!
Psssshhhh. Hey. You there. If you're going to hate on the game, at least make an attempt to make it look like a discussion. You're welcome.
You didn't see the question at the end?
This game has problems? Huh. First I'm hearing of it. ![]()
Op knows his stuff, any person who played FPS games pre-cod to MW3 would know his points are double valid.
Anyone who started playing FPS games from lolMW2/MW3 don't bother replying.
Atleast the OP can seperate all cod games by looking at them and not see them as one and the same and make some LOLCOdFanBOyThread
Example:Get better at this broken unballanced game, you suck!
MP7 & ACR have loads of /recoil,you just suck!
Shot guns KIll in one shot you just dreaming they take 4 shots to kill!
Need MOAR SKILLS!
Every cod game to date has had huge problems so trying to single out MW3 is daft, they all have flaws and when you think of it some were way worse than the little ones on this.
Little problems? Major connectivity issues would not fall under "little problems" in my book. Just my 2 cents though. I agree that they all have had issues though. We could probably have a 200 reply thread going through what was wrong with each cod. IMHO none of the problems in previous cods are as game breaking as the connection issues in MW3.
Lag comp is here to stay so you may as well deal with it and not let it bother you.
I can can 100% say if we drew up a list of side-by-side comparisons on "ballance and problems" MW1 vs MW3 that for MW1 you could write them down on a piece of toilet paper,MW3 you would need a 6 foot blackboard
Obviously, because MW3 has way more content.
that goes to show, bigger or more is not always better.
Huge problems? Sure, every CoD had it's little problems. I don't count WaW because that game was lousy with modders, but all of the problems in this game are turning into 1 huge problem. I should be getting my first job soon, and when Black Ops 2 comes out, I won't be trading MW3 in for the trade-in credit. Nope, i'm going to burn my disc.
Well cod 4 was plagued with people either hiding inside walls or out of reach places on every map and way too many people using modded pads.
I rarely noticed anyone out of the map, unless it was on Crossfire every now and then. And modded controllers are all in this game too. And why do people call controllers "pads"?
Because smart people shorten things when abbreviating them.
Is "pad" an abbreviation for "controller" or a shorter word used to describe the same object?
The real name is a "control pad", your calling it controller from the first part but others call it pad from the second part.
IMO controller is now the accepted vernacular for the device we all use to control game systems. Regardless, your point about "smart people using abbreviations" is completely unsupported by fact.
It was a smart comment...
As is my entire end of this conversation. ![]()
You mentioned that this is a game and you are correct. It is a bunch of pixels and line code used for entertainment. Nothing more.
Are there problems of course and they can be fustrating but this is simply a game nothing more. i admit i get a bit fustrated with the problems in the game but i do not let it bother me it is just a game. If you do not enjoy it move on and find something you enjoy. k/d, w/l boosters lag comp etc does not effect my bank account, career, vacation plans etc. Just a game that requires a small amount of attention for enjoyment as opposed to the reality of life and being succesful in the real world. Just a game.
I am not trying to be rude just pointing out reality is a bit more important than fantasy.
Yes it is just a game but some of us have absolutely no life so this is our life. It is really important above and beyond anything else in our life. My day hinges on these games and nothing else. So please don't trivialize my life.
My post was not an attempt to trivialize anyones life. It is my opinion and veiwpoint. If it came across that way it was not meant to. Again it is my veiw point nothing more.
I was just kidding.
I saw a while back someone posted something about how being a former competitive sports player who no longer plays sports, online FPS games are their vent for their competitive drive. I feel like I fit into this category with that person. Is it a game? Absolutely. Do I prioritize real life things higher than this game? Absolutely. Do I wish the games which have become my competitive punching bag so to speak played better? You bet your a$$ I do.

I've been a level 80 at 17 prestige for almost two weeks now and I can't get myself to play MW3 to get to 18. Don't get me wrong, I can still manage to enjoy the game and I will get back to it. But to a certain extent, I agree with the OP on this. I've had every cod since cod4 and this game has given me the most frustration. Maybe the cod series has run its course for me and I'm just burned out on it or this game needs improvement for me to enjoy it as I did with the other cod games. All I know is I only used to play cod shooters until I got MW3. I've been playing a lot of minecraft lately and even got Skyrim, games I never would have comsidered in prior years.
I'm hoping that Black Ops 2 doesn't fall down the same path, but it's not looking good with all the futuristic stuff going on. I pray that it's better than MW3 though. As a primarily FPS gamer, CoD is the only game that I consistently play. With the way MW3 is going, I actually bought DMC HD Collection, and am considering Minecraft or some other multiplayer game. MW3 just delivers more frustration than the other CoDs, and I'm not even sure how it got to this point.
Nah, it will be just as bad or even worse with everyone rushing toward it hoping it will be the magic fix for them.
Man, this forum could really use a dedicated "Lag Comp/ MW3 is Broken" thread instead of 50 new threads an hour about how bad the game is.
anyone noticed how shitty they made the ak 47? its really stupid to make ya wait that long for a crap weapon. they have taken all the fun out of the game with peoples cheats and mod controllers!!! they should have spawn protection likr GW3 that would stop all the campers from trashing a good game.and what the hell is with all u clan idots anyway OMG wtf is ya'lls problem tired of u little pip squeaks and ur clans get a life and ur own server so the rest of us can enjoy the GAME
Yep, the game gets boring or annoying at times. But that is why I have 80 other games to choose from. And when one of those gets boring I still have the others. I never stick to one game forever, just not worth it.
