simple becuase you can't know everything in the universe without already knowing it, discovering everything to know about the universe one step at a time and or having someone teach you everything they know one step at a time. ergo they can't completely patch a game which will need to be patched ad-infinitum until they know close to the limit in where they can make a game that does not need to be patched.
