DLC, choosing maps and Elite Lobbies

Before you read/post - this is not a thread for bashing, it's just ideas that will hopefully be built on and passed on as community ideas to the devs. What do you want to see?

I just got the e-mail about the DLC being released and logged on to the store to realise it was an error. Then I realised I'm not even going to bother playing these maps for a while anyway so what's the point in downloading them?

Personally I get bored of waiting more than a month after hearing about new content before getting it - this isn't going to change on PS3, by then if I'm going to play it I want to be able to choose how I'm going to play it. Going into a lobby full of people who just pick TDM over and over on the same 2 maps just doesn't cut it for me so I don't bother with the DLC lobbies, even though I'm paying for them...

Because of this I thought I'd start this thread to find out what everyone else wants from the DLC and MP (constructive only).

Personally the ideal solution for me would be to have the option to pick which collections you want active when you're playing... so hate a particular collection of maps but love another, ignore that piece of DLC!!

The easiest way would be to incorporate another menu, normally pressing select at the multiplayer menu just enables/disables dlc. If that instead opened a mini menu that allowed for the turning on and off of each collection (including the original maps if you ONLY want to play DLC) then we could be rid of the Elite lobbies as it would all be in the original lobbies. That way we could play the game types we want on the maps we want?

Even better but less likely, pressing select at the menu could open a checklist - you could actually check which maps you are happy to play and which ones you aren't. Again this is less likely as it would undoubtedly cause more strain on servers and probably make some things a little less stable but it provides more control over what you're playing?

The other thing which would be quite good - having the control to play in parties or not. So an option to turn this off or on in playlists. (I know there are lobbies for this - however again they are mixed meaning you won't have any control over what you're playing...).

So if the two ideas are combined and you pay for Elite, in theory if you wanted to play nothing but Domination on the newest map pack and not have any clans or parties involved - you could. If you wanted to play a mix of Capture the Flag and Kill Confirmed on February and March DLC drops and don't care if there are parties or clans - you can.

Not sure if it's possible, just think it's a good idea for multiplayer...
