Xbox has a deal to get the content first.

When Black Ops 2 comes out, the contract between Activision and Xbox expires I guess you would say, and from that point, we get an equal share. So when I purchase my new Elite, I'll get the map packs the same time Xbox users get it.

I will buy elite just because I'm lazy and don't want to buy each map pack individually. The Dlc maps on blackops were actually good. Maps like Kowloon, Stadium, Zoo, Hotel, Drive in, Stockpile, and Hanger 18( Hanger 18 and Stockpile were mainly for the wager matches) were actually good. I'm also fine with the slow aim in on the snipers. I don't really care about that fast aim in the Modern warfare series has. Take a look at the stats. I have a better accuracy with Blackops quickscopes than MW3. MW3 is a little too fast. Do you really think that you can aim a sniperrifle and look down the scope perfectly in less than a second? I'm a hunter and when I see a deer it probably takes 2 or more seconds just to get into position to aim. Then you have to find your target again which takes another 2 or more seconds because you somewhat lose the position of the target. And you obviously hardscope it. I have not seen a hunter "quickscope" their trophy. I also have an idea for a second chance. Blackops 2 is going to be better and I do care about not getting the Dlc the same time as Xbox users. Microsofts plan is to steal Ps3 users by doing this. Ps3 users will get mad and go to the Xbox to get their Dlc early. Well I think that this is childish and selfish. If you want more users Microsoft, do it fairly and don't offer deals like this.

they do care it's just microsoft has a contract with activision thats why it should end when bo2 comes out so i can't get you but think they have a contract so please think about this

I don't really see any point of having Elite except for the map packs. But even then, I can just wait that extra month.

I don't do clan events, hell I think I still have my double xp from the elite clan thing.

Now, if the map packs were to come out at the same time as the xbox users, then I would buy it, but since they won't, there is no point other than saving a buck or two on them.

Besides, if its anything like this past weekend, they will be 50% off next summer.

Even though this contract contiunes, I'll likely renew my Elite subscription despite the rocky start Elite had such as taking about a month to become opertational, getting features up to 9 months late, getting content a month late, and DLC sales 8 months in to MW3's lifespan. Some people on these forums feel they are entitled to 50 maps which Activision doesn't have enough developers to work on those maps, don't want any spec ops missions, ripped off because 3 content drops were face off maps which were once classified drops that could've been anything, rest of Elite isn't worth a penny, and/or cheaters in clan ops.

The original deal was 20 content drops which was 12 normal multiplayer maps and 8 spec ops missions. They then annouced there were 24 content drops. Those extra 4 were classfied drops. 3 of them turned out to be Face Off maps while the other classfied drop is likely to be a new game mode. On top of that, IW and Activision were generous enough to give us 2 Face Off maps and Terminal free to everyone. Despite a sale earlier in July for 50% off Content Collections 1 and 2 which brings the lowest possible non Elite total price on DLC to be $45 in which people will rant about wasting $5 bucks. Getting maps early has to be worth more than a $5 sub. To be honest, early access to all DLC is worth $20 which brings the value of an Elite subscription to $80 which doesn't count various other features which brings Elite to a $100 value in my opinion in it's current state which is a great deal for $50 even if discounts are factored in.

Before people rant about how Elite is still broken, it's broken because of unexpected demand that exceeded expectations.
