Developers position on CHEATERS & BOOSTERS

If the developers were completely onboard with ending or at least hindering all the cheating & boosting....

 

(1) There should be a report button on every MW3 Player Card.

 

"Track" "Compare" "Report Foul Play"

 

Having a visual deterrent up every time someone looks at their stats would be a nice reminder that cheating has risk . Also it would ease in the reporting of blatant cheating visible just from the player card alone.

 

(2) Add Reward system, Those that report enough confirmed offenders earn points toward a title or emblem ( ie. "Mob Justice" "Booster Basher" "Bam Reset" "How do I get Unbanned?")

 

(3) Add better reporting features for reporting in game AND in the lobby. We need to have more predefined choices for reporting the MANY different offences so the Dev know what to look for. It will make clearing the innocent quicker and the opposite for the offenders.

 

In the end aid us in aiding you........

 

Because due to cheating now, people ARE leaving the franchise and you will never plug all the holes.......

    Agree 100%. I dont think there should be rewards though. There are people out there that would abuse that system as well.

    I think those who get busted should have to sport an ingame title that they cant remove that says "CHEATER"

    While I agree that cheaters are the "carp" fish of the gaming world, the line above might be too much. You would inadvertently cause a witch hunt and lets face it, with a ten fold increase in reported players, IW would never higher that much staff to sift through all of that. I can definitely see younger players whining and simply reporting someone based on there emotions and not actual hard evidence. Just my 2 cents.....

      If you've played enough of the game... Then you're fully aware that cheaters NEED to get reported. Anything that encourages reporting cheaters is a fantastic thing in my book. I think tallowby's hit on a very effective and useful solution to the problem (possibly the best other than dedicated servers, of course). There are people out there who have been caught cheating, been "punished" and are back online pulling the same crap for months. There has to be a better way for us, as a gaming community, to help them do something about this and if it requires giving a title or emblem to confirmed reporters, then so be it. I don't care if IW gets bombarded with reports, honestly. That's their job. If they don't want thousands of reports of cheaters, then be proactive to stop it instead of letting it happen.

    OP good thread .... I agree more needs to be added to the reporting tools.

     

    I think Rock star has hit a home run with the " cheaters pool " they are calling it.if ya get busted with proof that you are a cheater,booster,and or glitcher you go into lobbies of just the same type players ,till you earn your way out . Just the threat of this happening is enough to stop alot of the b.s. im sure..
