NOT MUCH HOPES FOR THIS GAME

i do not think this game is going to be good because there is no beta. yes, i am that ignorant troll who categorizes the game by if it has beta's but i think that is the pure truth. i have realized that every single game out there that is good has had a beta. if you dont believe me, go play battlefield 3, future solidier, halo reach. all games that have had beta's and are now very successful. and they dont have forums full of problems like black ops 1 and modern warfare 3.   you can hate me now. you can call me whatever you wish to call me but if you do the reaserch, you will know that i am telling the truth.

    Actually, Betas rarely do anything. Those games you mentinoed? Halo 3 ran the Xbox Live chart top spot for 2 years- it competed with MW2 and still did extremely well. Hell, people still have it on the top 20 today. However, Reach sunk quickly to 6th. Alot of the fanbase didn't like the game. Go to the Waypoint forums, you'll see what I mean. Same goes for Battlefield. The game was overhyped, and even after the beta, the game had a broken netcode and lack of balance. The hated features were still existent. It has killed itself with its rarity of patches and every one destroys the game a little more. Future Soldier, its still to early to tell.

     

    None of the CoDs had a beta, but they still held the top 2 places on the charts until Minecraft came out and sent Black Ops to 2nd. A beta would be nice, but the most it can do is test the netcode and make sure it works.

    The game releases so soon it has no time for a beta. The first month is the games beta if you think about it. They patch the bugs after about the 1-2 months. If you want a smooth game, wait about 2 months after release! If you don't mind a couple glitches, a few overpowered guns, et-cetera then buy the game when it comes out. It really isn't THAT much of an issue, but if you want it closer to perfect, wait a while! There is NO need for a beta!

        Of course there is a beta it's closed tis all.

         

        OP doesn't understand standard product design, development, testing and improvement  cycles.

         

        OP is assuming no public beta means no product QA or verification. (S)he is incorrect.

    Black Ops didn't have a Beta.. and it was amazing. WaW had no Beta, and was amazing. CoD4 had no Beta and its considered the benchmark for FPS games. MW2 and MW3... well I will just stop while I am ahead.

     

    Don't think BF3 was successful because of the Beta. They mainly did it to show off the new engine, and it brought some players, like myself, into it for the first time.

    BF3 still has a lot of weapon problems, so GTFO. And if you checked your facts, you would know that Treyarch has already a closed beta running with over 300 people, and they probably will have a CoD XP this year.

    i dont know how you can say the game is going to be no good . it is not even out yet and people are on the its going to be rubbish bandwaggon, give it a chance im sure there are some good games that aint had a public beta test . all the testing in the world wont give an indication of how the product will perform (on line)untill it is released to the mass market .

    OP Is dumb.

    It's 6 months til' the game releases (I belive) and you're complaining about a BETA. I am sure there's a BETA, just it isn't public

     

    The BETA for Battlefield 3 released 1 months before the game release and you're complaining 6 months before the game releases

      yer not only that but the BF3 beta was an old version that had already been patched to hell  before release it was a demo not a beta also as for its balance you do realise that BF3 has 63 weapons in it now thats hard to balance especally when most of the stats are based on the RL counterparts either way it still does the basics much better than COD IE sniper rifles ALWAYS beats ARs at long range shotguns ALWAYS beat ARs at close range ect. ect.
