Making a commercial about campaign and not zombies bad or good?

Posted by rjowner_playstation on May 7, 2012 10:51 PM

I think it is bad because 15 percent of people buy the game for the campaign and or multiplayer but the other 85 percent buy it because of zombies zombies zombies. I bought it because of zombies and every person on my friends list or lives by me buys it because of zombies. MW3 is for multi and they buy it getting a lesser version is stupid if there was a commercial of zombies there would of been alot more people pre ordering right off bat. I pre ordered it though cause i love zombies i only use multi player for myers in private matches in the small maps. I hope there are a bunch small maps for that reason. ANYWAYS THANKSGIVING IS GOING TO ROCK.

MP is the reason why COD is as popular as it is. They show the campign first because most likely it's the first thing they finish or are close to finishing. We still have a few months and most likely both zombies and MP are still being developed and tweaked.

They will make a zombies and multiplayer trailer, the campaign trailer was just the reveal trailers. There are still several to be released, they are still making the game so they can't make too many trailers.

Everyone you'll ever meet in your entire life wont even come up to half of 1% of the amount of people that buy CoD.

There is no possible way that your percentages are even remotely right.

Bad idea.  I know more people play the COD titles for the multi aspect.  BUT, there are also a TON of us strictly ZOMBS guys and we would've loved to see something in the trailer about it.  Why do we have to wait when you know they have already completed most of it??

      1. It's part of keeping people hyped. If you show them everything from the get go you have nothing to sit back and think about, or get excited about.

      2. It's not done, MP and zombies are always tweaked even up to release date. So what they have right now might not be the same thing on release. I remember seeing a leaked gameplay of blackops MP around this time before it's release and they were still using stopping power as a perk.

good because if they just start off with the best it wouldnt work and why would they advertise one of the modes before the story but well probably see some sort of zombies trailer at e3

Hmm if 85% of people buy just for zombies why did Modern Warfare 3 sell better than Black Ops?

Because its the newer game, it has "Modern Warfare" in the name, and it has all the features to make little boys get a happy moment in their pants.

It's good. The campaign is the mode that is most interesting with unique events. The commercial is eye-catching, and gets people to want to see more, especially since it showed Woods.

The other modes are things people try to find out about. Small tips are found everywhere now, and within a few weeks, they decide to release footage of zombies/multiplayer to satisfy those who only want the mp/zombs info.
