Black Ops 1 maps for DLC.

  I wonder if Treyarch will put in any maps from Black Ops one out as a DLC. I think it would be pretty cool if they reskinned some of the more popular maps like Firing Range. Kinda how they made Cliffside into a golf course and called it Hazard. What do you guys think? Would you think that was cool, or do you guys think that would feel to "cheap". Like they were just rehashing instead of coming up with something totally different?

 

   personally, I think a reskinned Firing Range or Summit would be badass.

    Definately would love to see Firing Range return, possibly reskinned. But I don't want them to think that they can just keep remaking previous maps, I want new maps. One or two max, any more and it would start to feel like they were being lazy.

      I agree I don't want them to go crazy with it, and I think the reskinned part really makes it feel less lazy to me. It would be cool if they did there normal four DLC drops (one zombie) with normal new maps and everything and then released a fifth one that was just reskinned maps that were popular from Blops. I imagine the reskinned maps would be rather easy to produce for Treyarch and people always like more content than the last game. It probably won't happen but I think it would be an awesome move.

    I would welcome back old maps if it was free DLC, I wouldn't pay for old maps. As great as Firing Range/Nuketown/Summit were, they had their time.  Maps were prolly the biggest dissappointment of MW3, especially when stacked against BO maps, so I'm looking forward to what Treyarch has for us in BO2.

      Treyarch has always been the better Map designer and I'm sure Black Ops II maps are going to be amazing as well.

    Yeah Treyarch does do damn good maps, I don't really think I can think of a single map in Black Ops that I don't like. Even maps like Jungle that frustrated me at first eventually grew on me. Jungle is one of my favorites now. Even though I'll miss Firing Range I'm sure Treyarch will come up with something just as good or better. At least I still have until November to soak up all the original Black Ops glory.

      That's what I like to hear . Also, I was living up some World at War this morning, there was 9,000 people online, I was shocked, and there were no hackers in any of my games and I played for 3 hours. Good stuff!

        Holy sh**!, did you play on Xbox360. I started with Black Ops and tried to go back to WaW to check it out. It seemed really cool to me but at the time the Hackers were everywere and you couldn't get a real feel for the game. I ended up trading it, but if it's working again, at least enough to actually play, I'd go buy it again.

          No I have a PlayStation 3, I did hear that the Xbox version is extremely hacked. Although, Black Ops still has that good Treyarch feeling to it!

            Damn, makes me wanna buy a PS3, oh well. I'm having a blast in Black Ops so it'll have to do. I actually own MW3 but I have more kills with my MP5k then all my kills in MW3 combined. I actually don't hate MW3 really, I just frickin love Blops. Hell, I think it's been over a month since any other game has been in my Xbox.

    The only possible way I can see this happening is if they only used the structure and name of the map, basically re-made the map to be better but the same map, and for skippinglobster, Xbox might start crashing in Black Ops 2, apparently the contract for xbox getting the map packs first ended after the big collection for MW3, so I believe we'll all get the map packs directly at the same time

      We can only hope.

       

      I do agree tho i don't want to pay for maps i've already payed for and played. Remaking the maps to have the feel as they did before but also add new elements to them. For example take nuke town, and open up the other side of the map that was closed off as well. If i'm going to pay for something I would like it to have something to offer worth the price.

        I think if they brought back Nuketown, they'd have to make it a little bit bigger with bigger buildings, with elevators and stuff. I would definitely like a remake of 2 maps, Nuketown and Firing Range, but that's just because I haven't played Black Ops 2 maps only those maps, there could be better maps in Black Ops 2, most likely will be.
