Who Agree's COD need's to bring skill back for Hardcore, And Take the Whimpie Thing's OUT!

Like take out whimpie thing's like Ballistic Vest witch is in MW3 (was very bad and over powered for hard core) or Flak jack from black ops 1 (witch was'nt as bad), we dont want life saving stuff on HardCore make it fair , If they get shot they die not live (It's HardCore not Core).

    Not sure I agree 100% with this.

     

    The idea behind the Ballistic Vests were sound, you provide extra protection for your team, which is realistic. The problem was, they did it wrong. They made it so multiple people could put out vests at once, and you could put more than one vest on at a time. If they do have anything like this in BlOps 2,  perhaps make it so that only one set of vests can be worn at once, and you only get to put one on per life. Seems simple to me.. I can't put out a chopper when another is in the air, so why not just put up a message (Can't place vests, already in use). The other issue is that people are spamming them by only choosing them in their Killstreaks, so every 5 kills they are getting more vests. Make it so that you either choose a complete killstreak cycle, or you choose NO killstreaks at all. This way they aren't constantly popping up. I personally like the idea of being able to put something out that helps my teammates and not just my Kill/Death.

     

    Flak Jacket was flawed, but not all that OP. My biggest beef with it was that people could walk away from explosions with no repercussions. I understand it protects you from the blast, but I am pretty sure you'd still be effected by it. Maybe walking through a Claymore would send you flying into the wall and stun you for a second or at least stagger you. Getting hit by a rocket or tube may knock you off your feet, causing you to scramble back up. The way they had it, the screen might flash red for a second but you kept charging ahead like a raging bull. That being said, you still showed up on Radar and were susceptible to Air Support, so it wasn't OP enough that it took away from the game that much.

     

    What I think is "Wimpy" is the ricochet that MW3 introduced. Black Ops hardcore got it right. You can't just run in front of teammates who are firing, run blindly into an airstrike, or toss a random grenade into a room where teammates are. 3 TKs and you were gone, a fair amount as hey.. stuff happens. The only caveat to that is the host couldn't get kicked, they fix that and its golden. MW3 hardcore is a sad shell of what it should be.

        Like I said, it wasn't handled correctly. I like the idea of the support class, I am not one who gets long kill streaks with my play style. It was pretty easy to earn them, I agree with you, especially with the exploits I mentioned. I hope they keep the support class with tweaks, I like the idea of making it a team oriented game, but they can definitely make improvements.

      actually, MW2 introduced Ricochete.

       

      but i have to say that i dont mind if they keep Flak jacket in, just as long as it doesnt cancel out all explosives. i literally hit a guy dead in the face with an RPG and he still came running at me. just like i threw an RPG at a car a guy was camping next to and he didnt even die from that.

       

      the only reason they put the flak jacket in was to cut down on all the explosive spamming. i understand that, but you dont counter that by having a perk that negates all explosive damage. that is just plain retarded.

       

      and i hate now that in MW3 i try as much as i can to use my GL and RPG in Core but for some reason they dont do what they did a few months ago when i put the game down. after 2 days of trying to use them, i only got 2 kills in Core. and that was even WITH shooting the enemys with this crap on their foot or even hitting them in the chest with the RPG.

       

      i hate how there is so much hate on explosives to the point where they are now not even worth using.

      I would like a playlist for gun on gun only. No kill streaks, no equipment, no perks, just plain vanilla gun fights. They should only have one gun too because variety sucks... not really. I'm up for whatever they put in the game to be honest.

        They need to bring back barebones playlists, with pure and others. That was always fun to play when I got tired of the Killstreak madness.

    Ballistic vests were a stupid idea in the first place. If they got rid of it in BO2, I wouldn't complain. That's for sure.

    They need to bring back skillful play to all aspects of the game, not just hardcore.

        i agree 100% with this main topic lol,

        noob tubes, death streaks, flak jacket, stopping power and hardened lol and more.

         

        i think the game should be 100% based on skill, tactics, pure instinct and common sense. none of those sissy perks etc. lol

    NEVER PUT BALLISTIC VESTS IN THE GAME EVER AGAIN! Those were so overpowered and ruined hardcore, especially hardcore snd. In snd, you had to run vests or else you would lose if the other team used them. Several times I'd get 4-5 hitmarkers on a guy, only for him to whip around on his 10 sensitivity and get 1 lucky shot from hipfire. Gay. Look on teh mw3 forums, there are a couple of really good posts by Buckeye015 about the problems of ballistic vests. No counter, so overpowered. Never again. I wouldn't mind if they only protected you from explosives.... But I did the math once and you could deal 176 damage to a guy on hardcore, and he would have exactly 1 hp left. How is this?

     

    Remember that you must destroy the vest completely, before you are able to damage the base health. For example: A headshot with an msr would deal 147 damage due to the headshot multiplier. Now you think that the guy would be dead. Here is where and why ballistic vests are overpowered. Now, you have only destroyed the ballistic vest (they give 50 hp but can take up to 147 as stated, and then you have 30 hp when the vest is completely gone). The excess damage does not carry over to take down your base health. That's why you can't get a 1 shot headshot in hardcore if someone has a vest. So once you headshot them, they have their standard hardcore 30 hp base health. So say I do 29 more damage with my mp9. That is 176 damage dealt, and he gu STILL is ALIVE with 1 hp. If you don't have a vest, he can just whip around, and hit 1 lucky bullet with his p99 and YOU die.

     

     

     

    Damage you dealt=176

    Damage he dealt=30

    Who gets the kill? He does.

     

     

    Imagine this crap in hardcore search and destroy. NIGHTMARE!!!!

        OK, ricochet is garbage and I hope BOpsII drops it cold. As for the vests-they are annoying, but you can shoot through them. Eventually. In fact, the ONLY perk thingy that ever seemed totally flawed was OMA in MW2. Everything else can be beaten or avoided, more or less. Even Final Stand/Last Stand in BOps-it suffered from a delayed animation which rendered a moment of invulnerability, but I learned to take people with it down anyway.

        That said, I think Hardcore should drop some of the more blatant idiocies. If I shoot you, you are dead. Vests can go bye-bye, imo, in HC. RANGE on a shotgun-really? So it matches an assault rifle? Stupid in HC, where one blast is deadly anyway. As for Death Streaks-I'm against them in any mode. If you suck so bad I take you down 5 times, let's make it 6, shall we? Instead of a martyrdom grenade wrecking my legitimate streak.

         

        I'm less worried about stopping power and hardened. Those are things  to deal with. And the underslung grenade launcher attachment-I see no reason to remove it. You get 2 shots. You have to make them count-and you have to learn how to use them right. I never get mad at panic tubes in my face-odds are, he'd have nailed me with bullets at that range just as easy. as for distance shots-if you can hit me, more power to you. As long as you can't refill them w/out dying I'm good with it.
