... why do so many of you not use dead silence in the third perk tier?
Ive played MW3 a ton, but only recently been playing SnD and Im amazed at how many players I get the drop on purely because I can hear where they are/going etc. This includes some very good players too.
I know tier 3 has some great perks (Im often using Stalker, steady aim & marksman in other gamemodes) but in SnD this has to be a no-brainer, even if you dont have a headset yourself.
What am I missing here?
They don't have headsets, so they don't actually understand how much their loud footsteps hurt them, and that at least 75% of their deaths or more are because of loud footsteps.
I accept that some of it will be because of ignorance but many times, the player involved does have a headset.
Earlier today I even got accused of cheating by someone with a headset/mic as in the final killcam, I suddenly spun around, went prone and ADS'd right at him just as he was coming around a corner. The only reason I did that was because I could hear him and I told him as such. He didnt believe me ![]()
Well, I know I don't use it because I love to use stalker pro so that I don't get blown up by gay-mores or bouncing bettys. But check out my youtube: youtube.com/user/thetrickster6 . I Got some beast SnD Strategies on there ! ![]()
I understand the attraction of avoiding claymore deaths etc but think about the odds you're playing here.
How many times are you getting killed because others can hear you compared to the number of deaths you avoid from claymores etc?
You make a point. I will put on dead silence and use it with my turtle beach. Thanks ![]()
Lol, no worries.
I watched your "SnD pro" vid by the way.
The silencer thing is questionable as not only do you potentially give up some power in some gunfights (anything that is deemed mid-range for the weapon) but you can also use your firing (and hence red dot on the map) to your advantage if you know what you're doing (especially if you can hear them!
) I understand the thinking though and will certainly have its times when it pays off.
However, Id have to disagree with the hardline choice in tier 2 when running specialist. You suggest hardline with assassin as the first unlock after 1 kill and (for example, quickdraw after after 3 kills.) However, you're nearly always better off switching them around. Pick assassin as the tier 2 perk and have hardline as the first unlock. This way, you have assassin all the time (instead of waiting for the first kill) and you still get your 2nd unlock (quickdraw in this example,) after 3 kills. The only "cost" is the 2 assist thing from hardline pro but in SnD that impact is severely mitigated.
Wow
thanks for the feedback m8. Atleast it wasn't negative unlike some of the ass holes on this form. And I understand what your saying.
No probs.
From the little SnD Ive played, Ive always run speciallist and actually use a Ex.Con/Quickdraw/Dead Silence as my 3 main perks with assassin, stalker and hardline as my unlocks (in order.)*
Hardline doesnt actually help you in battle so for the majority of time playing, if Im giving up killstreaks for extra perks, I want the perks to be "performing." However, having hardline as the last unlock meaning only 1 kill unlocks everything, I believe to be worth it.
*If Im feeling lazy, Ill swap assassin and quickdraw around.
Alright dude. Mind if I mention that in Ep.2? Credit will go to you
Sure, go for it.
