Dude, don't call me an idiot. Obvious mechanical legs exist, but in 13 years time we ill not have tanks that walk. Use your head dude. I didn't insult you so don't go around throwing insults. If you want to play like that it can get ugly real fast. In 13 years the US will more than likely not have an automated mechanized army. Also they will more than likely not have walking tanks. How hard is that to understand.
From what i gathered there is going to be a cold war with China, which means there will be an arms race. Look at the immense amounts the US and the USSR pumped into their militaries during the last cold war. It is certainly possibly that the US face with a cold war with China could produce what is seen in the trailer.
15 years after the conclusion of WWII the first human entered space, that would have been considered impoossible to achieve during the WWII era.

Fine, I say yes. Why? At the rate that technology is advancing these days, I can see a few WTs in the futrue. Will it replace the Abrams entierly? No. Happy now? Can we end this squabble now?
LOL if you truley think so. I guess that is your opinion. But I think you are saying it just to be right. But I am very pleased that you stood up and said what you wanted to say.
What do you mean by advancing these days? What on the major size scale has advanced that much since the year 2000 militarily (I said year 2000 because that was 12 years ago which is close to 13. We have been running the same the majority of the same equipment since then. I don't see why end the discussion. Isn't the whole point of this community is to discuss Call of Duty? I mean the F35 lighitng has been in production stages for a while. The F22 still has not seen combat. I feel like to develop a walking tank would take more then 13 years. Just my 2 cents
Going into Iraq and Afganistan we didn't use UAVs. We now have over 7000 and use them thoroughly. So there you go, a major military advancement that occured in the last 10 years. This was something we knew about, common knowledge really, but they do mention this very thing in the BO2 release documentary. Check it out and get with the times. It isn't just propaganda they are using to justify the future setting. Regardless, splitting hairs over technicalities for the accuracy of the setting is mind numbingly dumb to me. The stuff really isn't that far fetched, but I could care less even if they do exagerate the truth. It's still going to be cod and will still be fun. Sorry to bust anyone's bubble but cod is not a simulator. If that is a big deal for you, I understand MOH Warfighter will be sticking to accuaracy as much as possible, so that might be something to check out. Although, they are going to allow all of the Special Operators in the world to fight each other in multiplayer (good guys vs so called good guys) so maybe that one jumped the shark too. Geez, trolls settle down and enjoy the game. I can't wait and have full faith that it's gonna be a great game.
PS: Here is the link for the little documentary if you want to get a better idea for where they are coming from. Kinda annoying though that folks don't just kinda "get" it.

Who on earth are you calling a troll? Your definition of a troll is really off buddy. I have been part of the Call of Duty community for a long time. Also I am not saying it has to be the most realistic game in the world. I have already said this 100 freakin times. For ME Call of Duty has been about putting the player in the shoes of a soldier/marine/seaman or whatever in a relativley reality based setting. Wether it being historical, modern, or futursitc. This is too far fetched to fall into that catigory. They could make this game in the year 2100 or 2200 or something I don't care. But in a realistic setting 13 years from now the United States won't have a mechanized drone army or walking tanks. Also you need to get your facts straight the US has been using UAVs since way before Afghanistan. That is just my 2 cents. That does not make me a troll. Just because I don't agree with everything in the game does not make me a troll.

Sorry, you may have contributed plenty of good content to the forums, but it does strike me as a little trollish to split hairs over this. It seems impossible to me that someone couldn't "get" what's going on here with the game, and so if it's impossible to not "get" it then the next conclusion really has to be that folks are just trolling. And you are by no means the only one Im accusing of this. That was a one size fits all card pulling. On the UAV deal, you wanted a major military advancement, and I do think it's safe to say that the mobilizing of UAVs onto the battlefield in the past decade has been a pretty big deal and one in which the majority of that growth and implementation did actually occur in the decade. We know they HAD drones, but what we have seen in the practice and advancment has been absolutely HUGE in the past decade. Just something simple thrown in for argument's sake. These guy's by the way aren't just some half assed game studio and they have a huge budget for research and everything else so I think we would be suprised with how accurate the predictions for the 2025 setting could be.
I bet codfirearms is still not understanding the concept of a video game ![]()
I am surprised he isnt complaining about how farfetched it is that you can come back to life with full ammo and full health many times in a COD game.
Or how farfetched it is that you can get instant air support when called.
Or how farfetched it is that when you get shot in multiplayer that you dont just bleed out instead of die outright.
Etc. Etc.
The game is still 6 months away and people are complaining about the game, complaining about the timeframe, complaining about the weapons, complaining about how unrealistic the game is.
Cant wait until they announce the weapons and the perks in the game. then the forum will be in full swing with complaints galore.

It seems I go through phases. I think Im getting pretty excited about cod again with BO2. First time I felt good about it since MW2.
For all you losers who are saying We wont have this technology in 13 years, we already have the technology, technology is doubling by the year this explains it all..
