For everyone saying Black Ops II is too farfetched.

The original Black Ops was set in the cold war era.

So how do you make a sequel to something that explained everything it ever had to?

You ask the question, "what would happen if something similar was to happen, say, in the future?" Black Ops II is essentially set in 2025, during a second cold war. Effectively utilizing the considerably more technologically sophisticated weapon systems that might be available to us.

YES it is FUTURE WARFARE but it is not truly as farfetched as everyone seems to think. I didn't think I would need to actually say this but, Black Ops II is in fact set mainly in 2025. It is 2012 people! 2025 isn't as far off as everyone is making it out to be. If you take a look at the technological advancements over the last 15 years, it really isn't hard to imagine how much further it could go in another 13. The game is not set in the year 3000! It's 2025!

Think about it... It's not that farfetched..

"The future is not as far off as most people think... We're not ready for it."

Cheers,

Dude the US will not have a mechanized army in 13 years time. Espcially not one large enough to the point if it were taken over it would be a major threat to natinal security. We will not have automated mech killing machines in 13 years. We will not have walker tanks in 13 years. Don't say prove it because that sounds really ignorant. Based of the past and the progression of current technology, it is very unlikley to have mech tanks in 13 years.

Walker tanks have zero weight to it. Nothing in the game has weight to it. This game is not possible in 13 years. If they decided to make the game take place in 2200 then maybe it is possible. That is all im saying. This 13 year time gap that Treyarch came up with is just plain crazy. The point is that the US military being anywhere near this advancded in 13 years is straight crap.

Hahaha! You just said that? It is a tank with mech legs walking in 13 years. If you can't figure that out maybe you should stay in school kid

Dude, don't call me an idiot. Obvious mechanical legs exist, but in 13 years time we ill not have tanks that walk. Use your head dude. I didn't insult you so don't go around throwing insults. If you want to play like that it can get ugly real fast. In 13 years the US will more than likely not have an automated mechanized army. Also they will more than likely not have walking tanks. How hard is that to understand.

Dude think logically here. Do you honestly believe that in 13 years, think just 13 years, that the US Military will have mech walking tanks. The United States is in such a deficit that we would not waste money on such an idea. There is also nothing wrong with the Abrams tank. It one of the most battle effective and deadliest tanks in existance. We will still be using it in 13 years.

The tank used before the abrams was in use since the 60s dude. It lasted almost 40 years, so the Abrams is going no where.

Also just think back 12 years since 2000. Look how far our military has moved. It has barley had any tehcniological advances. We have had drones since then and they have not changed much. The US has no reason to add walking tanks to their line up. In 13 years there won't be walking tanks. Just give up man.
