Will elite dlc carry on in black ops 2

Or will we have to buy every three months again.

    I would think they are going to follow the same system. It seems silly for them to have put so much work into the Elite system to abandon it. I bet the same deal will happen if you buy the Hardened edition. You will get a year of Elite and  the DLC. Unless they decide to completely do away with Elite, but I don't see that happening.

    Hmm no beacuse the map packs ends at september and the game is lunch on november 13

    This is good question because since elite didnt work and still doest work properly activision did give out as a gift "2 more free months" of the elite season content for the members that bought elite early on. Now since the season content ends in September that would means we still have 2 months free for the next season or so i would think. Considering that the new season wouldnt start until treyarch decides to start releasing DLC which is usually 1 month after the game release

    What if you paid for elite in the middle of the year. It says the subscriptions expires a year later. So wont that carry over into Black Ops 2.

      both consoles will will be able to get the DLC at the same time

            Actually it's Microsoft paying a fortune to activision but Sony players and the actuall company feel as they do not need to pay up a stupid amount of money just so they get a few multiplayer maps 30 days earlier

              You can blame sony because they don't have a subscription like xbox for gold. Sony makes no money after you buy the game and console. Microsoft makes millions a year, and they pay out good money to make sure their members get what they pay for.

                Well Sony does have a subscription service its playstation plus it's a pretty good deal if you like buying games from the psn store but you cant blame sony for not wanting to suck activision D*** and besides i personaly don't mind waiting it's not like the maps that come with the game are terrible

    So I still dont completly understand, if I buy elite today, will I still have it on July 24 2013? Or just till BOII?

    The thing is that we don't know; they haven't told us anything in regards to it, but I doubt ATVI will make the mistake of screwing us over again in regards to being premium.

     

    My best GUESS is that if you buy ELITE today, you will get it until July 24th next year, and, if DLC is included in Black Ops 2, will receive all DLC up until that point, but nothing after that.

    If you check this post out it and click on the link it tells you that when you purchase elite you only have access to MW3 content, you'll still get elite for a full 12 mths Whats Call of Duty Elite???, hope this helps

      That's funny that they changed the description. I'm 100% it was that descriptive claiming you have access to "MW3" seasoned content, but that's fine because I knew that would happen.

      i dont understand this at all,if i buy elite now at a 1 year subscription ,i will get ALL MW3 maps and nearly ALL bops 2 maps for 39.99.Cannot see that in amillion years ,you will have to renew for black ops 2 content for sure .

    OMG people. ELITE and ELITE 2.0 are the same thing!!!!!!!!!! If any one has played Tiny Wings, they will know that they announced a Tiny Wings 2.0. Everyone thought it was going to be a different game on the app store, when (in acctuality) it was an update. Thats whats going to happen with ELITE. Your subscription will carry over to BOII, however if 3arc go the same route as MW3 (which means DLC will start in Jan.) you will most likely have to pay for ELITE again anyway (depending on when you got ELITE).

      this seems 100% correct it would make no sence to not do DLC elite because we payed for it so i would guess that call of duty wont cut its elite because they make money off it

        Actually, when you bought a year of Elite for MW3 you bought a year of content aka a Season Pass. You'll have to buy another one when BO2 comes out which will give you a year of content. It doesn't matter when you bought Elite, if you don't buy the Elite 2.0 Subscription, you won't get the content at all until you purchase it.

    I have an ELITE supscription here, i have 2 of them and iv already redeemed 1. If i renew my ELITE when black ops 2 is released will it work for black ops 2 aswell? i hope it does cos i bought 2 to last me longer but did'nt think they may only work for mw3. if they only work for mw3 then they are being greedy and unfair, they should of said WAY earlier if they would only work for mw3.

    This is what I have heard from a very good source. Cod elite 2.0 will not have any early dlc, just the other features. Maybe thats why there is no info on it, that maybe true as people have been scammed enough. I mean we get the last 3 mp maps 1 day before the normal users can buy it. I will not be renewing thats for sure something to think of there?

    i don't think anyone knows yet, but i don't get why they would make a elite membership what has an option when you buy it to renew after a year, for a game what will be out for a year and a bit, until the next cod come out (BO2)... Just a thought.

    No the current ELITE subscription will not be carried over to BLACK OPS II. You will need to buy a seperte ELITE subsscription for BOII. But this is what i heard recently.
