I've tried to provide input for Beachhead regarding scoring issues and things they needed to address to make clan ops actually a competition instead of pandering exercise to paid customers. Nothing has come of that. There has been some improvement, but the things I've suggested should have been implemented at launch. We are nearing the six month anniversary of ELITE's launch. And we're honestly no better off now than we were in February before the launch of clan ops.
The lack of any sort of leaderboard for each clan op is inexcusable. Why can't I see who won the bloody op? What's being hidden by not having the leaderboards posted? I'll tell you... They are hiding the fact that clan ops are not truly any sort of competition and don't want us (I'd hate to say me specifically, but I would be an extremely vocal critic) to see how many clans are getting XP for getting just one kill. It's silly, but in the last two clan ops, the top THREE scorers for my clan would have earned us gold by themselves. How is that possible? There isn't any challenge to clan ops to earn gold. (Sorry for all you clans out there having trouble earning gold, but it's true.) My clan, HeadBusters, Inc, is 19 for 19. In all but three of those ops, we were in the top 3%. In the three ops we weren't in the top 3%, we still finished in the "top 10%" for the enlisted clans. To me, earning gold should mean that my guys are having to give their full effort to attain gold. And considering that most of the ops, only 10 to 12 guys (out of 88) in my clan are even playing them says a lot to me when we get gold. It says that ELITE is a joke, and find another game if you want to know where you stand as a clan.
Why haven't there been any clan leaderboards mentioned by anyone? Wasn't that one of the things (along with leagues) that we were promised when ELITE launched? I would love to see where my clan stacks compared to all the other clans out there. But I can't. The only thing I can do is to try and search out clans (if I know their names) to manually compare stats. Isn't that something that a "stat tracking" site should be able to do for me? Hell, I can compare my HC Dom rank with any other person I have a gamertag for. Why can't this be done with clans, as well? I want a CLAN LEADERBOARD!
I would also like hardcore ops that require a CLAN. Not just counting individual kills or captures... those things don't require a clan. I want a clan op that counts WINS in a game mode during a certain time frame. HARDCORE game mode. THAT would be a clan operation. Not what we're getting as a "clan op." Make it something that requires teamwork and coordination. ANYTHING but what we've gotten.
It doesn't really matter what we complain about. Beachhead is going to give us what they think is the right thing. And it isn't 99 times out of 100. I refuse to pay for this ever again. I used to be a huge Call of Duty fan. Now? After ELITE's absolute failure and MW3's glaring issues? I'm not even going to get Black Ops 2. I certainly am not renewing my ELITE subscription. There isn't any point in thinking it's going to improve. It won't. They've got our money and we're going to get what they give us. It's too bad it's nothing close to what they promised us. #ELITEisajoke
