Modern Warfare 3 DirectX Installation Errors Fix?

Hi there,
I have bought Modern Warfare 3 yesterday during the 33% off sale on Steam, and just finished downloading it today. After I had clikced on the play button for the multiplayer, it runs through the standard first time instalation things. After reaching the "Microsoft DirectX for Windows" set-up, I will get an error ( http://i.imgur.com/tD9Hs.png ). After this I click the "OK" button, it launches the game to the loading screen, then gives me another error saying " Couln't load image 'voice_off' " that crashes my game. Has anyone got a fix for this problem?
System Specs :
Intel Celeron CPU Single Core @ 2.29GHz
2GB RAM
Windows 7 Home Premium 64BIT.
Thanks guys,
-Richard.
Just tried it, unfortunately did not work. Still getting the exact same error.
I'd try reinstalling your Sound Card drivers. Looks like the error is in one of the .dll's that the sound card uses. Might even be an updated driver for your sound card that needs to be installed.
As Fonzi said reinstall your sound drivers, and then download the DXWebsetup so that you can reinstall/update DirectX.
hmmm does that machine meet minimum specs?
Looking at the spec's now which I didn't notice before no it doesn't meet the requirements.
Needs a major upgrade to be able to play the game, no doubt it's a old AGP graphic's card and probably a socket 775 board with a limited FSB meaning, they probably couldn't even drop in a dual or quad core chip.
Yep, powered by celery - no good for games, or much else really.
Apologies to the OP if this offends, but it's true I'm afraid.
Well that was my question as well, but I have a bud who played on a single core... he's good, I couldn't believe it. I don't think the game would refuse to run on a puter out of spec. It sounds like another problem to me. I ran MW2 on a Intel dual core (6300 or something) with a 9500GT for a while, and it ran as good as my 4x does now:)
