    Re: K/D vs W/L

niether of them because it is just a video game.

You can skew both of these easily.

If you maitain a 1 k/g your a average player

anything over is better then average preferbly over 1.2

W/l anything over 58 percent i feel is good.

People that have 70+ w/l are just dashboarders.

thats why niether of these stats are relevant becayse so many people dashboard. Plus to many people pad there k/d by kill whoring in objective games.

played a kid that went 10/36 but back out with 2 seconds left.  come to fin out he had a 3.4 k/d so obviously dashboards/

Again niether of them matter as it is a video game and you get nothing for being real good unless your 1 of millions of poeple that get paid to do this.

    SO AGAIN NIETHER MATTER

    Re: K/D vs W/L

People with low K.D say that it doesn't mean anything just as the guys with god awful W.L say that doesn't matter. If you would stop constantly rage quitting and leaving lobbies then you're less likely to keep being put in games that are half over.. Who cares if it's nearly over? Leaving is only going to give you a loss anyway so why not stay and start the next game from the beginning? Any lone wolf player who is half decent should at least have a 1+ W.L. If you don't you're a scrub in my eyes.

    Re: K/D vs W/L

KD does not matter AT ALL in:

Domination, capture the flag, sabotage, demolition, free for all * and headquarters.

    * The objective in Free for All is getting 30 kills.

The victory is yours wheter you have 50 deaths or 0 deaths, as long as you hit 30 kills before an enemy or the game ends while you have the most kills.
In fact, the main problem with winning free for all is actually finding enemies before the other good players, and if they camp and you run around, you will find more enemies unless the map has a hot-spot where the other potential winners patrol the area.

In kill confirmed and team deathmatch, you can choose your KD ratio:

    Run around like a headless chicken: X * 0.5
Run around and try to find and eliminate the enemy team: X
    Walk around tactically: X * 1.2

    Camp hard i a corner with assassin and akimbo FMG9: X * 1.5
    Patrol an area: X * 2

    Play with a lag disadvantage: X * 0.8
    Play with a major lag disadvantage: X * 0.5

Wield akimbo FMG9 as secondary and use them for close range: X * 1.5

    Use MP7 instead of UMP: X * 1.1
    Use PP90M1 instead of P90: X * 1.1
    Use ACR instead of AK47: X * 1.1

    Use a silenced weapon: X * 1.1

Instead of using killstreaks that HELP YOU get kills, you can use killstreaks that help your entire team:

    UAV + Counter UAV + None: X * 0.8 / Team total kills Y * 1.2 / Wins * 1.2

You can shoot down every enemy killstreak instead of using blind-eye, and use sleight of hand pro: X * 0.9 / Team total deaths Z * 0.8

    ...

Most people think KD ratio is the most important.

But what about team-players using UAV and counter-UAV and who take out enemy reaper drones and assault drones with their stingers instead of using predators and blind-eye?

Team-players will have lower KD ratios than everyone else.

    Re: K/D vs W/L

Personally, I don't think K/D or W/L 'matters' persay. I play fps games for fun, and for the social aspect of it. So my K/D and/or W/L don't nessesary reflect upon my actual 'skill' as a gamer. However, if everytime I played, I tried my heart out, focused entirely on getting kills, and not dying a lot/winning the game, then you could say K/D and W/L represent my skill.

    Re: K/D vs W/L

Win Loss doesn't matter in the slightest. As people said, you could join a game half way through, and be dumped on a losing team. I really only play FFA and as i'm not a run and gunner, I rarely finish top 3, which also counts as a loss.

I also refuse to play in a lobby when I host. I'll give it some time in game, but will nearly always dashboard when I'm host - I refuse to be penalised for having a good connection. However if i'm not host and do bad, I don't dashboard, I just leave because I know it's not my connection!

Whilst I don't really care about stats, I want them to at least be accurate for those that do wish to view them.

    Re: K/D vs W/L

I agree paper cutter, W/L and K/D are totally dependant on L/C (Lag Comp) in this game.  There are just too many one sided monkey humpings in this game, and it is due to the poor matchmaking and imbalanced lag comp.
