Completely agree. A couple ideas:
1. A way to send a message and checkmark all the clan members you want it sent to.
2. The clan MOTD scrolls on the bottom of your screen so you can see it.

I have a feeling that this is to be implemented in Elite 2.0.
Why do I think it is in the works....
Our Clan Tag has always been and is acceptable on XBL. Activision had a problem with it and then released their ban.
Recently we were unable to modify any clan settings (motto, title, emblem, ect..) Activision has stated it has no problems/bans on our clan details and states that the ban is coming from Microsoft.
Just to reiterate Activision states that Microsoft banned our "Clan Name" not our clan tag. The tag on XBL can be turned on or off to this day no issues. Our clan name is just the 'tag' with the word 'The' before and the word 'clan' after (The tag clan - This message board still filters the tag).
Ok, There are no clan specific features on XBL now unless I am missing something?
Does anyone know about new clan features being built into XBL?
Being rejected for "The Clan Name" by Microsoft tells me there is a clan feature in the works.
Activision is presently working with Microsoft on our behalf to remove the block.... It has been elevated to the highest tier of Activision's list of fixes.....

umm this thread has nothing to do with bans and clan names / tags
this thread is to try to make it more easy for us clan leaders to message our clan members for upcoming events.

The ban only brought the information to light....
That being XBL is working on Clan features now.
These unreleased features require game developers (like Activision) to go thru an approval system in regards to Clan info. (Which is why I listed the above incident)
As this will impact the implementation of your request I thought it relevant.
In order for an outside developer to enable a feature to send mass mailing to XBL subscribers, Microsoft will have to enable it first.
Will Microsoft enable it and turn it over to developers... No way. Microsoft will have control of these possible unreleased features and only allowing partial access to the developers. Hopefully the partial access will fulfill your request. I would like it as well.
This goes without saying that PSN may have a different approach to complicate this further...

I'd like to see this functionality implemented too. I got tired of logging into xbox.com and one by one going through my friends list checking off my clan members. It's a real pain. I found a work around for now though. I downloaded the indie game, Message To All Friends, or M2AF. It's lets you mass message people but even better, you can create and edit groups. Now whenever I need to message my clan, I just fire it up.

I totally agree with this idea, right now we have 80+ members and are using FB. It would make the site more interactive, plus if u could implement it on the mobile app along with clan management that would be even better people wouldnt have to drag out their laptop to send messages of contact the clan.
Thanks for bringing this up & hopefully we see some improvements soon.

actually if you're a competitive clan, it should be your clan members checking the times themselves
it's also the same times everytime

on MW3 it gives you a option to invite friends\facebook friends\Clan members so just invite your clan members to the game as possible and talk to them and if you cant bring all of them since it only holds 18 just tell the others to message the other memebers the message

Please see this thread.... Let me know if any of what i mention relates to your idea. Maybe we're thinking of the same thing plus or minus a few details. Maybe our ideas can converge into one massive amazing idea.
Be warned.... Its a long thread. I hope you have a few minutes to read it all.http://community.callofduty.com/thread/200504117?tstart=0
Also, you can follow me on twitter.... Lets think out loud. I'm sure Beach Head studios is working on something, but the question is.... are they headed in the right direction? Keep the discussion going.
