So, This Is What Quickscoping Is All About?

For my first time ever, I decided to quickscope for an entire match, and these are the highlights. I went 8 and 7, game mode was Hardcore Domination (probably not the best mode to start out with, but wtf? i jumped in head first), and.. I admit it felt satisfying to get such an easy kill from a distance. It happened more often than I thought it would, too. My seven deaths mainly came from enemy killstreaks. The last kill surprised the hell out of me because I could barely see him, yet I killed him before he could even hit me. The shots where I zoomed in more than once was me getting over-confident with this crap. Thinking I could practically no-scope because of how simple quickscoping was.
What do you think of quickscoping? Do you think it deserves a nerf in Black Ops 2 or are there bigger issues? Do you quickscope in public lobbies, clan battles, or just in private matches with friends?
were those kills or just hitmarkers...try using a better on hit one kill sniper like the msr or L118(or whatever its called)
but i do think QS is stupid and absurdly unrealistic (yea i know this game has alot of unrealistic things but this is just absurd ,hopefully they nerf that **** in BOPs 2
If you fullscreen the video, my PSN is Captain_Planet and they were all kills (mysteriously). Honestly, I think that this falls under "exploiting." I mean, you're taking advantage of the aim-assist. But, I don't know. I've heard rumors that Treyarch is going to have a talk with the "best" quickscopers they can find and try to level the playing field in Black Ops 2.
Quickscoping or Hardscoping, either one.. What's the difference, really? Because, no one ever enjoys being sniped at all in any way, ever.
Just pointing this out, but you know this is the xbox forum right?
Yeah, I figured people on XBOX quickscope, too. Plus, I own one. But, I don't see how any of this makes a difference.
I wish QSing would just go away. I know it won't go away but I wish it would.
None of those kills were even large distances, and at 33 seconds wasn't a quick scope just a lucky shot.
Besides going for long range quick scopes is stupid. Show me a video where you get close 1v1 confrontations and win them. The entire point of quick scoping is so you can defend your self in close situations where you can't pull out your secondary.
Quick scoping is not a play style so don't treat it like one.
Also it's not exploiting aim assist. Aim assist won't lock onto the target or snap onto the target for you. It's not like that now and hasn't been that way.
Also all of your kills were from that 1 building, try moving around.
There won't be any quick scoping in Black Ops 2 just like in Black Ops... Oh wait.
I'd have to disagree with your statement that quick scoping isn't a playstyle. What would you call a player that runs and guns constantly quick scoping people down? I don't KNOW if it's an exploit of aim assist or not, but hitting from that range without really aiming, is either an exploit, great skill or luck. Taking into consideration that luck only goes so far, it's either crazy skill or an exploit of aim assist.
It's not a playstyle, I've been quick scoping for 4 years. Players who treat quick scoping as a playstyle are those same players who go negative every game.
And all he was doing was putting the player in the approximate center, scoped and shot. So yeah... luck. If he was drag scoping those shots there would have been an element of skill involved.
And aim assist won't aim for you, lock onto the target for you, nor will it force the crosshairs of the scope on an enemy even if your reticule isn't perfectly on them.
I gotcha. I'm not bashing quick scopers. Good ones make it look WAAAAAAY easier than it really is. I'm with you on using QS as an "oh sh!t" manuever. I enjoy sitting back and picking people off (mainly with a drink in hand) once in awhile, and I've QS'd people at close range a handful of times. Most of the time though in close quarters, it doesn't work out.
It just blows my mind how people can be so accurate without even looking through the scope if aim assist plays no role.
Because they are looking down the scope. Theater and killcams make it look as if they didn't go down the scope all of the way. If you don't go completly into scope the shot acts as a no scope and is luck.
Quickscoping is unbalanced. It takes a normally balanced weapon and makes it a one hit kill at all ranges which is unbalanced. Qscopers are easy wins for me though because they never play the objective. You were never even close to a flag.
That's an untrue steroetype. The player isn't playing the objective because their a douche, not because their quickscoping. They wouldn't be playing the objective no matter the gun they are using.
And of course it's a OHK at all ranges, something that kills at 2000+ ft can kill at 10 ft.
Not an untrue sterotype. Ive never been Qscoped by a Qscoper actually on the objective.
For a video game that is not balance. Shotguns are the only other OHK primary weapon. They are for up close snipers are for distance and everything else covers the middle. That is balance. Would it be ok for my OHK shotgun to kill at all ranges? I didn't think so
So because you've never been quick scoped by an objective quick scoper they don't exist?
The absence of evidence isn't the evidence of absence.
I quick scope a lot in objective games and I do play the objective. 2.65 kd and usually get in the top 3 score almost every game with multiple caps and defends.
Also can you prove they would play the objective with an SMG or AR?
Congratulations you in the .01% that does play the objective. I don't care what your KD is so it is pointless to post it. Im only impressed with high W/L and K/D not just K/D.
2.4 W/L playing with random's.
