When more than half of the team leave during any game

Game Developers - is it possible to make it where when a game is going on and half or more of one side leave to end the game? I mean when we are in a lobby we must wait for a balance, but when we are in a game all but one person leave and the game still continues? This is not fair for those who are joining a losing game with no chance of a come back. Any answer would be great.
Thumps up to this!
My team was once in a domination game where we were flat owning (we triple capped because they all went to camp and nobody even capped their base flag), so he other team left, but before the game forfeited, more people joined.
It ended up being a revolving door of players and we won 200-0. It was flat stupid.
On the flip side, I have been in games where at some point I was the only player on my team.
Why? Not that I like joining a losing game, but I absolutely hate it when a game quits half way thru regardless wether I'm winning or losing.
Those who join would be put in the losing game but the next game, they have a chance to get the win.
As long as you stay in a lobby, you're more likely to accumilate wins than if you keep quiting lobbies. You can tell who these people are by the low number of wins they have and yet a high KDR. During a pre-game, I look at W/L and K/D ratios and if the K/D ratio is actually higher than the W/L ratio, you can be almost certain that the player is more likely to quit mid game.
i understand that but when you take a lose it takes what 10 games of winning to make up for a falty match system? all i am asking is why does it balance teams in the lobby but not correct it during a match?
Because the other team is a party of 6 and it will not break up a party.
Yeah, but how often are these games you join a death trap. Most of the time a loosing game that I'm placed in is full of airsupport and a guy who's only a few kills away from his MOAB. I'm not about to fight that kind of fight
Oh god...last night, literally several different lobbies in a row, I ended up put into an game in session and the team I'm on is getting trounced (literally 1000s to 4000s+) and the enemy team has up an Attack Helicopter, UAV, Reaper, and a few seconds later, the Helicopter gets replaced by a Pave Low or AC-130 while I see the enemy team's score just keep jumping.
i've been left alone (1 vs 6) and i just keep fighting. It may last for about 30 sec but people will be put on my team to finish the match.
Its stupid all together to be place in a game that is about to finish or you get to see the last kill cam. I don't think anybody have a problem to wait couple seconds more but to start a game from the beginning.
It does happen (rare) when I have been put on the winning team... it is always a pleasant surprise.
Sadly when I know the game is lost and I just joined a losing battle, and there's no way now to avoid taking the loss on my record, I switch into protecting my K/D. If it's an objective match, I stay around the objective but I never go for it and I just kill the people looking for me trying to capture it. It's not like how I like to play but what else is there to do?
Yeah it is pretty sad.
I had about 3 games last week where my entire team backed out and I was left alone to 1v6 a Kill Confirmed game.
Felt weird. ![]()
Fair point about remaining in the lobby to get a better match next game, but if you don't like the maps being voted for then you have to back out. I have been put into 100s of matches on the team that is losing heavily, all because i didn't want to play Dome (my worst map in the game) or Hardhat (my 2nd worst map).
When those maps come up i just leave because i know that the vote will be in favour of the small rusher style maps.
And as i paid for the game i do have a right to choose which maps to play or which not to play, without having to join a nearly done match because of my choices.
My lowest KDr is on Dome and Hardhat (1.20 after 11 prestiges) and i just don't like the explosive spamming every game, as i play hardcore mostly.
Sweet i actually try to take on the 6 man team if im the only guy left. I camp my a$$ off and sometimes get a few kills before the 6 players eventually find me.
If would be nice if they didn't force people into matches with little or no time left either. I suspect that causes a few to quit too. I know it aggravates me to no end to get snagged into a match with no time to get even one kill and then not get any points and take a loss to boot.
So maybe it causes a longer wait in the lobby but games should have at least half their time left or give you a choice to join or not.
The simple answer is to allow you to look at the score while in spectating mode, and if you dont enter the match,it shouldn't count as a loss. Can it be that hard to fix this?
nope, not at all
I cannot stand it when I get thrown into a Kill Confirmed match when the opposing team has all it's assault killstreaks up and the match is virtually over. I don't know how many times I've gotten screwed over because of that. It seems like everytime I get on KC, I get thrown into a losing match with little to no time so my W/D ratio really takes a hit. I just thought about what you suggested this morning after getting thrown into Dome with a bunch a reaper, AH-6, and a Pave Low up. I hate losing matches to begin with so this whole "quitting counts as a loss" thing gets me even more pissed. Quitting should only count as a loss when you've already spawned into the game and decided to quit after that. Until then, I'm just going to continue to play despite the situations the game throws me into.
LOL its funny when this happends. Me and my clan where doing a party in playing like demolition i forget (19min game) anyways every body left but these 2 people left. So we should kept killing them i went 32-0 M.O.A.B.
Easy answer to why you're thrown into losing games way more than winning games - no one leaves the winning team, even if they aren't getting the kills.
If I am the only one my team I just kill myself over and over with a C4 so no one on the other team doesn't kill me. ![]()
i'm going to do this next time i end up on a team by myself.
