Possible way to give back......Activision

I work in the pharma industry and we have many campaigns for PR purposes to support charitable causes. I was wondering if IW/Activision could maybe try something like this. Maybe have an event where after 2 hours of game play 1$ will be given for every xp point earned to say, purple heart foundation or disabled veterans association etc. You can decide which charity. It might be a good way to give thanks during memorial day? It would be good PR for the company and we, gamers that probably shouldn't be playing so much can help give back. What do you guy's/lady's think? It is after all, a game depicting warfare. Thoughts?

very thoughtful zvers. Not only will it help Activision's PR and benefit those charities, it will also give players are a sense of accomplishment...and not the sense of accomplishment one gets when they prestige or that kind of thing. A feeling that they helped make a difference and improved someone's wellbeing.
I think it's also a good way for the kid's (who aren't 17 and over) to see some compassion. It might help them refrain from acting like idiots when they have a mic online! Thanks for the response!
Thats honestly a great idea, but.. I don't see either company doing so. But something they could think about, good idea.
Companies that donate to charities get tax incentives...they can use it as a writeoff. so, it isn't totally out of the realm of reality for Activision to do something nice for others
That is one HELL of an idea.
To bad it will probably never happen. ![]()
ya know that activision give millions each year to charities right? all the money they got from codxp went to their veterans charity,
I had no idea that they were already giving. My point was to get people who like CoD and the company itself to help a cause. If Activision already does it then why haven't I seen a thing about it anywhere? To have a good community (a healthy one too) you need solidarity between the gamers and the game makers. After reading many of the discussions for this game, that is obviously lacking.

seriously? they couldnt stop mentioning the fact all money from codxp was going to their veterens charity.. to be honest i prefer it when a company goes above and beyond helping charities without making song and dance about it.. shows they arent just doing to "look" good
