I wouldnt go play Ps3 thats for sure. You get what you pay for.
My PC is 4 years old so it would be back to BF1942 and the other BF games since thats all my PC can handle
Too bad it cant run BF 2142. The frame rate was one frame every two seconds
Or just play MAME
My side hobby is making a flight controller out of wood and potentiometers to play Star Wars more easily. I am building the final version now and dont feel like splicing the wires to make connections. Its about 90 percent done. -
I changed the above. and the OFFLINE hobby would still be the same. I never played the BF games in online mode .
Otherwise its mostly upgrading the 10 year old house, watching movies, pretending to work on my lawn to keep the wife out of my hair , etc
I was making games on XNA and have a few MS sells for me. But I lost my interest making them about 3 months ago. Just dont feel like "writing" anymore. Plus my freinds who now graduated college used to do the artwork for me and now they are gone. I just dont feel like "hiring" a new set. I mean it was only 3 people but its not easy finding people who can keep a secret and not tell anyone else about what you are doing.
No internet available, dont even scare me. Where would I be able to find out what the weather is outside
Losing the internet is almost as scary as when dialup would make you wait ten minutes to see one porn picture that looks like a girl and at the end turns out to be a guy below the waist

They dont make anything close to the 1980s Star Wars arcade machine joystick, except for this place called "Ram something"
They supposedly do complete versions but people have been getting no product from them hardly at all. Out of the 50 people I know only 3 people claim they got a controller . And thats after 3 years of waiting. Not going to give them 300 bucks for a game I could also play with a mouse . So I printed out the instructions to make one out of wood. The first test one I made worked very well but had too many design flaws on it from my mis-planning.I am going to work on my car today and start working more on the flightstick. The plans are on the internet "how to make a Star Wars flightstick with easy to find parts". Its a very detailed set of instructions how to make one for people who like older games . The first one was made from 3/8 inch plywood for testing and worked very well. Now this one is made out of more solid wood but sill cuts and feel smoother.
The handles are from some 1 dollar swords from Walmart and are from the first version so no cutting needed. I just have to wire them together and put in one of the pots. drill holes for auto centering springs. Put in one guidestop. And label and connect the internal wires to a serial cable I got at amazon for 6 bucks. No soldering needed this time.
Then for 10 bucks I bought a joystick port to USB convertor box to make it more accurate.
I could be using that thing tonite if I didnt have to work on my wifes car doing tune up work.
If a customer calls then I am "forced to go out and make money" but I really want a 3 day weekend if I can get it
My biggest hobby is to make a full size "arcade machine" with a PC inside it to play MAME and have multiple controllers that can be swapped out. Thats going to be the one that will go into our retirement home once we move to Seattle area. It will be a one bedroom home with one of those being a gameroom with a table/ booth area. A pool table and the "arcade machine". But due to the economy and living in a small town sometimes your own business can be tough to keep going profitably. Hence the easy part time job. But I say in two year things will be back in full swing once our savings goes back up to where it was.
As a matter of fact I am going out there right now. It just took me a while to wake up
