Lately i have noticed alot of racial and discriminating slurs roaming the xbox community i dont really care but i does get boring, perfect example whilst playing search minding my own bidness with my clan, out of the blue i get a text msg on live from some kidd on the other team calling me a S**t N***er, as it was the first round i was like 1 for 2 neg. and he was 0 for 1 neg. Didnt really understand why this msg was directed to me personally.
After reading, blocking coms, reporting and avoiding such imaturity with that kidd i proceeded to open a can of whop A** on there whole team 13 for 2 Pos. S**t N***er style before the game ends he disconnects, kinda sad i wanted to know if he had any other comments for me.
Anyway Just wanted to get that out there cause it is distastefull for those people who do that to just leave after opening there Yaps and receive a beat down for it and then leave, keep that crap down to a minimum trash talk all day, but no racial sluurs please. That my opinion.
It's Human nature. When online people have total anonymity and they know there will be little or no consequence for their actions.
People like this have been around since the birth of the internet and they will continue to be here long after we have given up trying to reason to them.
My advice, ignore them. People can be dicks and there isn't much we can do about it.
Feel free to report them if you wish but I doubt a temperory ban from XBL will deter them from such behaviour.
People yell racist stuff because a lot of people aren't mature enough to ignore it like any other insult. If someone called you a queer, you'd probably just let it slide, but if they called you a n*gger, you'd probably explode and make an ass of yourself, which is what they want. Just ignore it and they'll get bored and stop.
That is true but it makes me wonder thoe, what kinda upbringing did that person have. Any thanx sharing your comments guys.
Because people suck, simple as that. I get a lot of crap for having a southern accent, and it's not even that pronounced. But, I'm still a dumb hick who screws his sister according to some players. You just have to take it in stride. Just think, that's probably the highlight of their day, getting on live and harassing people. Kinda sad. I never use a mic anymore unless I'm in a party with friends.
I don't recall this being an issue when Live first came out. Back in the day of Crimson Skies and such, @ssholes were few and far between. Guess it was because it was so new and everyone just got a kick out of playing online with thousands of people from the comfort of their own home. Now everybody has to dominate every single match or send a steady stream of insults towards other players to have a good time. I miss the old days.
Agreed it was never this bad back in the day.
