PS3 should get this weekend as a Double XP weekend along with Xbox - Bowling just CONFIRMED DOUBLE XP for PS3!!!

It's bad enough that PS3 players don't get the maps as early as Xbox players because of the Microsoft contract with Activision, but Activision/Infinity Ward could lessen the pain by having this Double XP weekend include PS3 players, don't you think? It would be great for morale.

I think both consoles should get a double XP weekend this weekend, and then again next month when the PS3 gets the first DLC collection of maps.

Sure there are some players that are already at 15th prestige, but most players still have a long way to go. There will eventually be 20 Prestiges for MW3, and the greater majority of players would love the XP boost.

It hasn't been said whether PS3 players are getting this weekend as a double XP weekend or not just yet, but Xbox has a definite confirmation, and I'm really hoping PS3 gets a confirmation soon.

I think this would go a long way toward preventing a riot from the PS3 community.

I'm sure if PS3 does not get double XP this weekend, we will get it next month when the Map pack is available for PS3. Not a big deal.

      Are you slow?
      OF COURSE, if the PS3 doesn't get a double XP weekend this month and the 360 does, then they'll make it even next month by giving the PS3 a double XP weekend and not the 360.

  That would be great if they did something like what they did with Black Ops. Black Ops had a double XP weekend for BOTH consoles when the maps released for Xbox and then again when they released for PS3.
  
  Dome 24/7 would be along the same lines as Nuketown 24/7 because it's a small map. Hardhat 24/7 sounds pretty good too.
  
  Being that Infinity Ward are two distinct companies, some have argued in the past that Infinity Ward hates to take any cues from Treyarch. This may or may not be true, but I sincerely hope IW does follow 3ARC's lead on this one.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm fairly certain there hasn't been a single double XP weekend since the release of MW3. If 360 has been receiving double XP when PS3 hasn't, I'm going to be rather upset with this console discrimination bullshit. We're all gamers, we're all paying customers and we should all be getting equal treatment.

On that same note, I recently found out non-premium XBOX users are able to purchase Overwatch, Black Box and the 2 Spec Ops missions before premium PS3 users are able to. I paid $50 for Elite being promised that I would get content first and free. I understand the contract, but there's no reason that premium PS3 members should be getting this content after non-premium 360 users.

  There hasn't been a double XP weekend yet for any console.
  
  Activision/Infinity Ward will keep the double XP weekends even/fair between PS3 and 360, but I was hoping they'd have a double XP weekend for both consoles this month to celebrate the DLC release for the 360 and then again next month to celebrate the DLC release for the PS3; Kind of the way Black Ops did it.
  
  Yeah, a lot of people are pissed about non-premium 360 users getting content before premium PS3 users.

    Ok, thanks for the information. It's a shame I've already hit 10th prestige and am choosing to stop there. Double weapon XP would be very nice though.

      I was concerned about the fact that Xbox Double XP has been confirmed while PS3 still hasn't. I did state that we still didn't have confirmation either way for the PS3 in my original post. I think it's thread worthy; worth discussing.

I find it incredible that we have yet to receive the second map pack and X-box have had all of the maps packs for Elite subscribers and non-Elite have received their DLC. I think the dates for PS3 are as follows but correct me if I wrong,

2nd dlc March 29th
3rd dlc April 12th
Full dlc April 19th

I find it all wrong even with the agreement in place it should of happened like this,

1st dlc X-box

2nd dlc X-box
1st dlc PS3

3rd dlc X-box
2nd dlc PS3

Full content X-box
3^rd dlc PS3

Full content PS3

Not like this

1st dlc X-box

2nd dlc X-box

1st dlc PS3

Yep we should, I mean, they did for Black Ops map pack releases when it came out for xbox first and they did the same in return when the map pack was released for PS3 a month later.

Normally though they announced double xp on twitter along with advertising the map pack release but I have not seen any double xp for all platforms so may just be sh*tbox first

Guys it's just been CONFIRMED by Robert Bowling. ALL platforms are getting Double XP for MW3 this weekend!! I don't know the exact time the DXP starts or ends, but here's the tweet:
