C4 fail. Was this a dud, lag or something else? You be the judge

I had this great fail moment the last night and wasnt sure what to make of it. I want to vote out lag as a reason because I was 7-0 at this point in the match with 2 caps and did not witness any other lag during this game.

The video shows both regular speed and slow motion and in both views you can see the C4 detonated before he fired a shot. You be the judge and try to figure out what happened here.

I bet after this you died 3 more times in a row. Man i tell you, the ways in which this game denies ones killstreak.

    It didn't show not 1 hitmarker tho. It seems as if it was just a blast of air haha. I would have been pissed. Last night I was on a streak, this same map near A flag, I was ADS'n and a guy burst through the lobby and i get insta killed. I mean I am ADS'ed already how can i get killed before I get a chance to push my L1 button.
    Seems like it's IW's way of saying, "F U annd your killstreaks."

      Nope no trophy system or blast shield markers on either one of them.
      
      I have seen another c4 dud video from the same area on arkaden I am wondering if there is a programing error that created some sort of invisible barrier.

  I finished the match 28-15 never reached my death streak (4) I swear it is like there is a loser assist function sometimes that kicks in to help the losing team for a stretch

  dude dont even go there. I be on a 7-8 kill streak patrolling a area and then i get slam by 3 people spawning near me and from there it goes to shts for a while. Get a good streak going than bam.. rinse and repeat.

That is really weird. It's as if you threw the c4, I didn't see your detonator come up but it blew up and no one died.

1. Maybe since you were killed just as the c4 blew up you it didn't register as a kill?

2. You were killed and the c4 disappeared and that was just an enemy noob tube blowing up. It did look like your c4 disappeared before the blast.

Either way, that's a real weird situation. I bet it's one of those laganomalies. The 1 second behind syndrome strikes again!

double tap square= don't need the detonator

There is something with this area on Arkaden...its glitchy as hell. I posted this a while back...same spot.

C4 is known to be a b!tch, it doesnt always deal damage, it happens all the time on all maps.

Thankfully the COD gods decided to pay me back with this gem a few games later but I still cant figure out the Arkaden problem. out side of lag issue C4 has usually worked very very well for me and is by far the most effective lethal choice.
