Thank You Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer

Thank you for the 1 second lag you created in MW3, it made my decision much easier to shelve your game. Also, that one second lag I played with for over 4 months helped me a bunch in my transition to Battlefield 3. Now, I feel like I am a second in front of everyone since the game has no lag. Also, thanks to the guy on the forums last night that brought to my attention BF3 is on sale at gamestop for 39.99. I've only played about 2 hours but I already love it.
I feel like a just went from teeball league gaming to major league gaming. It definitely plays a little slower and the load outs are a bit confusing but wow what a difference good netcode makes. Maps are not cluttered great sightlines on every map. Great graphics. My gamertag is Shaft62702 if you want to send a friend request I will play some BF3 with you. And, (I almost forgot) thank you infinity ward and sledgehammer for saving me 45-60 dollars by not buying map packs because you refused to fix the game.
dont let the door hit u on the way out kid ok? and plus its ur choice, ppl will still be playing mw3 even with lag, i know i will
Not even near a kid but thanks. And, yes it is my choice and my voice that will be heard in these forums spreading the joy I have found in BF3. You have fun lagging around. I hope you killem all.
Please do us a favor and do not spam the forums with BF3 is better stuff. Not saying you are but please do not start.
Not planning on it. Just wanted to get under that guys skin for being rude. Do you have BF3?
I guess the map pack has 4 maps from BF2 like wake island (that was my favorite one fron BF2). Have not downloaded the map pack yet. Just playing some TDM to try and get used to the maps and pace.
I had it till my friend borrowed in in December and has not given it back. but when i want to play it i take my roommate. It is a good game on its own and it and COD should not even be compared.
The only real comparison you can make is that the lag is non existent in BF3 and is terrible in MW3. The game play is definitely different in all aspects.
with BF3, when i played campaign i couldnt really see at all, it was hard to see in semi lighted areas even with brightness turned up, thats my only problem with it
Its does suck tho, i agree with Nubdub about the lag, the lag comp is ruining probably 90% of my games, but i already tried bf3 and omg its such a step backwards comepared to there better battlefield games. Im hoping the new ghost recon will be good cause idk how long i can take the lag comp, god i hate treyarch for ever putting it in failops.
In my opinion all the FPS military games are trying to compete with COD so they take things from it instead on being original.....which is bad.
I'm very interested to see what BF3 is like but at the same time playing the demo or beta or whatever it was made me absolutely hate it. I've never seen so many bushwookies in my life. One of these days I'll give it a real shot though.
I played the demo and it absolutely sucked. Thats the primary reason I didn't buy it on release day. Had weird glitchs and screen flashes plus blinding flashlights. They fixed all that now. Between BF3 and Tigerwoods2013 I should be set till BO2 comes out. (cant wait for zombies)
lol be aware that BO1 was the first 1 with lag comp lol if treyarch r not fixing it then it will suck and lag like mw3 and blackops
Black Ops wasn't the first game with lag comp.
zombies don't usually lag. I buy that game almost exclusively for the zombies.
BF3 is a cool game, too. I agree with Redneck, tho, the two games really don't compare.
nubdub, if you don't see lag in BF3 then you haven't played it enough. Use the stationary AA guns a few matches & you'll see what I'm talking about. Not saying COD is better, just saying dedis don't solve the problem.
Hope to see you over there when I get back around to BF3!
Yeah, I'd definately like to give it a shot just because based on what I see it looks really good. And from what I see the DLC looks like night and day compared to MW3. I think I'll be purchasing it soon to get out of this CoD rut.
Its 20 bucks off at gamestop right now
At least I am getting the choice of server quality I want. There are 100's to choose from that have 6 out of 6 bars. Playing COD i am at the mercy of "Jimmy's farmtown satellite Internet" or 3g phone teathers.
I'm waiting for the Close Quarters DLC to come out when I go back to playing BF3.
I'm not really enjoy the "Back to Karkand" DLC when I play solo. Everytime I play, my random team get's crushed once I play against a squad of experienced BF veterans.
I agree with the lag in BF3...it plays more smoother than MW3 especially with the server browser as I live in New Zealand so I can find more locale lobbies rather than relying on someone else's connection to run to game for me.
I enjoy BF3 but most of my mates don't play it or sold it so I end up playing solo all the time.
I'll PM you my GT if you're interested (don't mind playing on American servers).
I don't know when the last time you have played but they have 12 on 12 close quarters team deathmatch now. That's what I am playing.

The TDM spawns for BF3 were slightly worse than MW3 (unless they have patched them).
When I meant "Close Quarters," I meant the new DLC announced for June which is indoor maps and more close quarter action.
That looks very call of duty like. I will get it for sure.
deucedouglas I didnt mean blackops was the first game to but its the first cod game to have it, just treyarch wouldnt admit to the lag in the game, now they have it in mw3 aswell but atleast IW has said over a month ago that it is causing lag problems, just sucks that some patches will fix it some then others breaks it.
And you'll have fun with bf3 for like maybe 30mins then realize alot of crap, starting with frag rounds in the semi/auto shotguns that kill tanks quicker then rockets(imagine yourself being hit) you'll realize" hey wait where is all the destructability BFBC2 had?"
I took a tank out with 3 RPG rounds. I think 2 enemy were in the tank and 2 were standing close because I killed 4 enemys.

All COD games have had it. BO was the first one to turn it up to give everyone a "fair" connection.
I realy must explain everything huh, i know all cods have had it, but it was very minimal and worked amazingly, but now instead of a fair game like they wanted most people get so screwed over.
Do you know how many times ive had to deal with being on the end of this crappy lag comp? To many dam times, they need to do whats right and make it the way it was, good conections did good and bad connections can go fail.
And dont start with the whole "its your connection man!" Cause to be honnest if it was my connection, then it would affect all my games, but im only affected while playing Black ops, and MW3.

Then don;t say BO was the first. That was my point. I did not need the long reply and did not even read it
Well its the first in the series to screw players over. that a better way to put it? ![]()
I wish I had anyone to play BF3 with. None of my friends have it, and I find it FAR superior to CoD.
I also play on PS3... Therefore there goes someone else I could play with. *sniffle*
lol i play bf3 on ps3 for the sole fact that my brother bought it and hated it, so i play it once a month to get rid of my wanting it for xbox.
I actually tried Medal of Honor and really like it. COD is still king but it's nice to try other shooters for variety. I bought it for $13. Campaign is really good.
This is also one thing I appreciate about DICE especially with their patch notes:

Compare it to MW3's last few title updates ![]()
I do wish COD would list what is in the updates.
They actually do list the updates but its sometimes a pain to find and its definetely not as detailed as bf3's.
They seem like they actually care if the comunity is having problems, and take the time and resources necessary to fix issues, Amazing
