Somebody has never played World at War...

I actually want them to have the AK 103 (it's chambered in ammo similar to the AK47) in the next game, the reason the AK47 always makes it into COD is because its an iconic assault rifle that EVERYONE has heard of and knows, unfortunatly the modern AK isn't known to well and the only reason the COD community knows about the AK 74 is because it was added as an SMG (wich it is not) since its about the only Rifle IRL thats small enough to pass as a SMG

The AKS-74U is a rifle carbine, the definition of a SMG is as quoted

A submachine gun (SMG) is an automatic carbine, designed to fire pistol cartridges.^[1] It combines the automatic fire of a machine gun with the cartridge of a pistol.

therefore any weaon firing a rifle cartridge cannot be a Sub Machine Gun.

Also the term Carbine comes from the days when rifles where used on horse back and therfore had to be shorter than there full sized counterparts to be used properly and the P90 is classified as a PDW (personal defence weapon) not a carbine as a carbine is longer than a PDW and fires rifle cartridge, the P90 fires a Pistol Cartridge, even the manufacturs website advertises it as a PDW.
