Played against a clan in KC and beat them by 6 tags. Know they keep spamming our clan board acting like kids.
You can set your clan page so that only members can make comments.
they should remove the report option people can do it for no reason and with no proof, yeh there a lot of arses out there who deserve to be banned but there also 1s who don't
they can report them and if they have done nothing wrong. if reported enough they get investigated and if something is wrong they will be banned. there are no mistakes in the banning system. every ban given is well "earned"
Looks like another abuse of power...
Happens a lot it seems.
Uh, swearing in online games is technically against the TOS, and when the XBLPET team hears them, thats enough to warrant a ban.
@CHRISSY We need report in game to cut down on the boosters. They review every report, and dont ban without proof of breaking the rules.
Prove that he was "swearing"...
They cant. They can just suspend him because they are mad he beat them...
Not saying that's what happened. But think about it...
People DO get suspended for no reason...
They were in the freaky game with him....please go re-read the thread.
Still doesnt prove he was doing anything wrong.
So the Xbox Live Support team was in the same lobby as the player and he was banned for language doesn't count for anything? Wow you are dense.
Just becaus they say it happend dosent mean it did...
I can say you keyed my car. Does that mean that you did?
You sir aren't very bright. The XBLPET's don't just play games for the fun of it. The only reason the were in the game was because the said player had been reported several times. There was no mistaked in than ban. He was not banned because he beat them. He was banned for exactly the reason the stated. In fact he wasn;t even banned he just had is mic privilegs removed for a few weeks. If they say it happened then it happened.
How do you think they enforce the "no swearing" rules as per the TOS for XBL? If you recieve too many reports for foul language they have someone from XBL PET jump into your game and play with you and listen in on what you are saying. If you are deemed to be using launguage unsuitable for XBL play, you can get a ban.
Do you honestly believe people get banned for no reason? Ive been playing on XBL for the better part of 6 years, and never had any bans, or warnings, etc. They ban people who deserve it.
I know they ban for no reason...
Personal experience from RB6V.
The guy told me he worked for xbox & he was going to have me suspended.
Why? Because my team kept destroying him & anyone he brought into the game.
Guess what, next day I had a 3 day ban. Didn't get an email telling me why(witch you always receive).
Did have a message from him thou when I got back on...
No I'm not saying this happens all the time BUT IT DOES HAPPEN.
well they curs in the actual game so who cares the game is rated M anyway and online is unrated for a reason!
They can prove he swearing. Use a pvr it will record everyones voice except yours in a game. Not to mention technology can do amazing things.
sounds like the PET is abusing their power
the game is for mature audiences and has profanity IN THE GAME ITSELF. if you can't take a little trash talk, however profane, maybe check out Beautiful Katamari or Shrek.
If it's against the ToS, they don't have to "take" even the slightest bit of it. There's no abuse of power if you're enforcing rules...
i understand. but i think we both know why they got the chat disabled.
being on the PET doesn't give you an anger protector. you get beat, you get mad
^^^THIS^^

The reason they were in the game was not to be play. The whole reason they were in his game was to investigated him. The could care less if the win or lose. It's not their job to win or even play. Just to enforce the rules.
You need to review the ToS and CoC for Xbox live.
B. Don’t do the following.
Judging from the TOS bit in red up there, I'd say at least half to two-thirds of all MW3 gamertags are in violation. FTLOL
All I have to say is this is an 18 game is it not and if you dont like swearing thats why there is a mute option. I think they are spending more time catching boosters/cheats than banning someone coz they rage at a computer game.
Its only 18 to buy not play...You need to talk to the parents...
I'm sure his ban was warranted. I can't believe I haven't been chat banned yet. I've only gotten 2 bans within like 3 days of eachother. The first one was warranted, as I had asterisks in my Bio that could've been misinterpreted as profanity. The second ban was complete bunk. My Bio said "I'm Freaking Furry", and the xblpet told me that the word "freaking" was blatantly sexual, which it isn't.
Perhaps the whole match was set-up to determine voice behaviour based on prior reports? What appeared to be rage quit might have been PET team just verifying and then bailing.
Its only voice mute for a while though, at least you aren't suspended from LIVE, which would be worse IMO.
Actually the game is rated M (17+). Online is ***not*** rated. No games online is due to voice chat.
Because there is cursing in the game, does that give me the right to start cursing at people in the lobby? Saying racist or offensive terms? Does it happen? Sure. I can take it and laugh at it. However, it still doesn't give me the right to start cursing people out. What do you say then? Sorry dude, its rated M, deal with it. Just because you CAN, doesn't mean you SHOULD.
Im in UK its rated 18.But the point really was that the game is ment to be for the MATURE gamer that should no better lol .If there is an idiot in the lobby I hit mute.
Just because everyone playing the game should be mature doesnt mean they are...Also, if its against the TOS and you do it, and they catch you in the act, you're toast. Personally I only report if racist things are said. Those are the only things that really offend me. Other than that its mute, avoid.

100% agree. I do the same. However, I would tend to think that MATURE people would use discression when they open their mouths though. Fred Durst is god knows how old now, but certainly over 18, and I would think he has the maturity of a 10 year old because he feels the need to say f*** 100 times in his songs.
Yeah, 10 year old referance, but the best one I could think of. rofl
apparently people think there is a conspiracy when it comes to people getting banned. if you people read the TOS/COC you will see that it is indeed against the rules to say such language. if it wasnt, then dont you idiots think that there would not be an option to file a complaint on said person for communication? you can literally go to their profile>file complaint>text and voice communications>in-game voice>file complaint. get enough people to file legit complaints on you and they WILL join your games and if it is warrented, they WILL ban you for the offense of which you were reported for.
there is no conspiracy and they dont ban you for no reason.

Check my post above. Sometimes they do. It's rare, but it happens.
i did read it. but did YOU read in the TOS that you cant use any words that are also "suggestive" meaning it is open to the readers interpretation of what the reader may think think you are trying to say? and saying you are "freaking furry" is suggestive. i dont think i need to explain why.
So if a friend of mine has "I'm Freaking Awesome" in his bio, he deserves to be banned too? The word "freaking" isn't always sexual in nature.
I agree with this. MS does not ban you because you beat them in game. If you got banned it's your "reward" per se.
without knowing all the details i can't say that they weren't banned for gamertags
but if the ban was specifically FROM VOICE CHAT and not from XBL completely, i'm guessing they were trash talking
BIG DEAL. yes, the TOS say you are not allowed to use profane or aggressive language with other players.
That being said, think of the cops. If you're friendly to a cop who pulls you over for speeding you may get off with a warning. If you tell him to GFY, <insert slur/insult> then he's probably not going to be so lenient.
I don't know about you guys, but I don't want to play in a community where everything I say is censored or at risk of putting a restriction on my account.
I've cursed and talked trash and get a fair amount of it back. So what. I'm an adult and can take it. If someone is overly annoying or offensive, I mute them and move on. It is not a big deal.
I still say the PET got beat and is still mad about it. Oh well, life goes on

My guess if is that this kid wasn't doing a little cursing. It had to be extreme for his mic to get muted for 2 weeks. As to the PET's getting beat and being mad. Think of it this way. They were not in that game to play. Just to investigate him.
Like I posted previously, I only report if people they are repeatedly using racist remarks. Other than that muting is there for a reason. Thats the great thing. Once I mute them, no more aggressive, shouting, mad people.
you basically signed that right into restriction when you signed up for XBL. you signed a legal document stating that you would not do whatever you would be banned for. if you were to break that as did the person who posted that comment, then they have every right to voice ban you as they see fit. the online community is NOT rated by the ESRB so it is up to the XBLET to patrol and do whatever they need to do in order to keep it a nice and friendly environment.
they dont care about your first amendment rights on here. as i have said before you signed that right into restriction when you signed up for the service and you now have to play by THEIR rules. failure to do so will result in what happened to the poster in that link.
and as Redsniper said earlier, they dont care about playing the game. they only join those games for 1 purpose and 1 purpose only, and that is to follow up on any complaints made by users on a certain other user for whatever reason.
Still laughing
