    I agree with the people complaining about the shotguns, I have actually stopped trying to use them because I think they aren't worth the anger that they bring. The final straw came when I ran up behind someone and from five or so feet away blasted at him with the model, perfectly centered shot, I assume that he is dead so I kind of turn to run on to the next target.  Of course he isn't dead, realizing this I turn and fire again, and while I will admit the second shot was not nearly as good (I hit him in the legs), I still get a hitmarker of course he then proceeds to turn around kill me. 

     

    I watched the killcam, on his screen the first shot makes his entire screen go red, the second shot which registered hitmarkers on my screen doesn't even hurt him at all....brilliant

     

    I wonder if there is something fundamentally flawed with how the the game registers the shotgun pellets at close range, most of my wtf shotgun moments are from 1 to 5 feet away from the target. 

     

    Also on a completely separate note, the LMGs deserve a minor buff.  There was nothing wrong with them in mw2 having no damage drop off over range, it balanced out their slower movement speed.  In mw3 they are even slower and suffer the similar range drop off as the ARs but have a great deal more recoil.  So I would like to see the LMGs either recieve no damage drop off penalties over range* or at least see a major buff in their range.

     

    * the exception would be m60, which would have a 2 bullet kill at close range and then drop to a 3 bullet kill at medium to long range.  Also I think the LSW 86 should be a 3 to 4 bullet kill, do to it's below average recoil and high fire rate.

    My examples arent as good as some others, but I figure I'd post them. Damage Spas:

     

    1st is an example of poor map making.. there is clipping everywhere.. Treyarch test for these issues. It is clear they were not tested for in MW2, but were in MW2 and CoD4. For the clip where you see the hitmarker but no shot.. just know it was dead center.

    The perils of having steady aim and small hitboxes that can twitch all over. Last part is just a LOL at how OP the full autos are.

    Why are IW and friends so scared to make all of the shotguns viable at knife range? No one will ever know. Dozens upon dozens of videos showing shotguns killing in 2-4 hits in their niche WITH DAMAGE, but not a single video of any other weapon doing something similar.

     

    Yet, Assault Rifles will be the superior weapon in the end in any situation*.

     

    *Until you run into the almighty Akimbo machine pistols, then it is those. And they make the shotguns even more pointless.

    I definitely feel that the LMG's need a major buff. All they have going for them is large magazine size: that's it. They have damage drop-off over range and have the same damage of the assault rifles. That's terrible.

     

    What I would do is

     

    - Give them more ammo. LOTS more ammo. I mean, a lot of ammo. As in I should never run out of it anytime soon.

    - Allow you to set it up anywhere. I wish they would have taken this farther in W@W with the bipods, because I always wondered why they bothered putting the bipod model on the gun without it even being usable. If you were to deploy the bipod, it would give you laser accuracy and almost no recoil at the cost of movement.

    -Allow them to penetrate almost any object, and I mean anything. You should also not require impact to make it work. It should penetrate greatly without it.

    - Give them no sway.

    - Give them less recoil.

    - Give them infinite range.

    I liked the idea of nerfing the ACR by reducing its mag to 20. I hate the idea of changing the feel or performance of a gun by altering its core stats. Lessening its mag size would be a substantial nerf in my opinion.

    As many other people have said before the creation of this thread, the connection needs to be sorted out before people start crying about weapon balance.

    you don't have to have a perfect connection in order to look at the stats of the weapons and see some weapons are significantly worse than other weapons.  Either way, they've been "sorting out the connection" for four months and no noticable improvement for most people.  Making the pump actions more consistent would take all of 5 minutes to do, and i have yet to hear any argument about how such a fix would overpower them

    How hard is it to actually change these stats though, I don't think it's that hard. Also if they haven't fixed the lag yet, it's never going to be fixed. I had fun in this game when the majority of the shotguns didn't suck, so if they could fix them, I could at least have fun in the game again, because as of now I haven't played in like 2 weeks.
