Xbox on a wireless connection cheating?

I've seen and been part of several threads that talk about adjusting your connection to get better games is cheating. So, this weekend I took my xbox off a wired connection and moved it to my wireless. I knowingly moved my xbox to wireless to increase my ping because a wireless connection has more overhead. Is that cheating?
Note: 90% of my lag issues are gone now because I increased my ping.
I wouldn't consider this cheating.
Does wireless nowadays even perform worse than wired because my wireless and wired speeds and ping are almost identical?
What about downloading torrents or running netflix to slow down your connection? My point is where is the line? Moving your Xbox to use Windows Internet connection sharing going thru your pc is another solution. There are so many variables and options one could use to affect their connection.
I really feel IW needs to take control back to protect the integrity of the game.
Yes wireless is slower then wired connections. You ping time increases and your bandwidth drops.
I would say going out of your way to purposely bog down your connection is where I would draw the line. It's a difficult thing though because I wouldn't consider that even as bad as something like a modded controller.
I don't like that they changed it from MW2 and even Black Ops. The only time I lagged on those games was when I found my way into a foreign lobby and had 2 bar. I played a game the other day on MW3 where I was the only person in the lobby who had 3 bar and I was the host. So much fun.
That's the point. I did go out of my way to slow down my connection. I added the xbox to my wireless connection, hell what if I moved my wireless router across the house to reduce the signal; that could be cheating also. The developers made a HUGE mistake using this type of lag compensation code. There is no way they can control someone's personal environment.
You're not really slowing down your connection though your just using the other slower option rather than taking your only option and basically artificially degrading it using other means.
Not a chance, they wouldn't have a wireless facility on Xbox if it was regarded as cheating. I played wireless for long enough because I couldn't be bothered pulling in the cables.
You sir are a fool. I went from wireless to hardwired about a month ago and its the best thing I have ever done. I pull host alot now and love it. Sure I still get some lag but only when I am not host. Your threads about about throtting back your internet connection does no one any good. Stop posting them. The in game lag will only get worse if everyone starts throttling their internet connection. Lag comp is overrated. Get over it.
